Last night I stumbled upon one of the last things Alan wrote to me.

We had a thing where I would ask him to make me lists/rankings of his favorite TV shows, movies, comics. He would also take out the time to construct a list of TV shows he recommended I would watch based on what he thought I would personally like. He did an in depth analysis on comics he thought I’d like too. It was really cool.

One of the last things he sent my way was related to Star Wars and his official ranking.

Thought I’d share it:

If I was gonna throw The Mandalorian in there, it would be right after Rogue One and everything else would drop down. I haven't watched any of the cartoons, so I don't have any opinion on them.

TPM will always be last on the list, and future filmmakers will have to work hard to unseat it as the worst of the movies in my mind. Some days, Rogue One can jump as high as second on the list, but if I'm doing a definitive list, the original trilogy will always own the top spots in my heart because they introduced me to the world. And when I say OT, I mean pre-special edition.

I agree with Alan's ranking of the Star Wars Movies. I miss him.

Both being Virgo you guys had/have a similar way of thinking.

He was a really good friend. We talked so much off the board and could pick any topic and go to town. He was in Minnesota with his sister and nieces a couple years before he died. I was in Cleveland. I set up a list of things for him to do. He toured the Twin Cities and even went up to Northern Minnesota. He loved the state. I regret not being here and meeting up with him.

Me too.

I miss talking to him about the same shows we watched (especially Berlanti’s Superhero shows) as well as sports and comics. Watched the last two Flash episodes and all I could think about was what his thoughts would be or what he’d think of my thoughts.

Happy Anniversary in Heaven to Alan. May he continue to Rest In Peace, and I take comfort in the knowledge that we still talk about him here and that we keep his memory alive.

I can't believe it's been a year already!! Unbelievable! What a beautiful tribute....such a huge loss for Alan's family and friends.

Miss my friend so much. I constantly think about him. I was just talking about him extensively yesterday. We had (and still have!) a true friendship and one that I’ll always remember. I know we’ll meet again.
