I like this. That hot tub scene was so beautiful. Some say they wanted John B there too. I didn't. It was too perfect for the trio. I just hope they're careful with the possible triangle between them romantically. I do lean JJ/Kiara because I love the potential but don't want Pope getting hurt. I would love to see even as early as premiere of 2 finding out Kiara/Pope realize they're better off as friends.

Yeah I just feel like its more of a crush. I am curious to see how s2 plays out.

It was weird... Pope seemed very crushed and Kiara's instinct was she didn't feel the same. She told him as much. Pope was embarrassed/a bit mad then she changed her mind and I thought it was kind of random. It seems unbalanced.

Everything was swift but there was build up. They were bantering/bickering well before they kissed right after their mini-trip. Sarah spent time upset over him right in front of Topper. John B would sit and watch her hang out with others. There was build up. They were attracted to each other well before the mini-trip and they just clicked after spending time together. That is how love works sometimes. When it's right, you instantly feel it. But what I love about Sarah and John B is they also had time to establish a deep emotional connection. They do have the entire package. The chemistry is off the charts too. No, I don't think it's just because the actors are together in real life either. The chemistry was immediate during their first scene.

They will get their proppy pairing that gets destroyed by the people they actually love.

I really wanted Betty and Archie to happen in the beginning of the series, I really did, but honestly, now...they are such different people. Betty is not some doe-eyed little girl that followed Archie around like a little kid. She's grown up now and needs to be with someone who respects her independence. Archie is a good person, but he and Betty would not mesh, not at all. Betty is fierce and independent and Archie wants to save the world by himself. They are just not right for each other in a romantic sense

Wow. So well said. You just summed up my PRECISE thoughts. Initially I wanted Betty and Archie too. I wish I could find my reviews for the series, the first few episodes. I was totally even giddy, for Betty and Archie. But things changed and you summed precisely why things changed.

I agree except I never wanted them together. In fact I hated Archie in the pilot and only grew to like him in season 2. For me I get the drank a bit it’s not about BA. They in fact don’t count. It’s about creating drama and answering a question they repeatedly brought up. If they hadn’t done the story this season I wouldn’t say it. But, it also provides fresh angst. Yes, it’s lane but the very essence of riverdale is. So, it **** and get off the pot time. Bury that dangling question while creating story for your main pairings. Is it innovative—No. but, this is the CW. From what I know jughead gets dumped early on in the tie jump and Veronica us in a bad marriage. The story will clearly be about the other pairings and not Betty/Archie.
