I think so too. The reason behind why which made no sense and how it never was in sync with what was on the screen. So irritating. I still despised LL though and hate that practically an entire season was about this idiotic pairing that was merely a temporary roadblock to Lucas/Peyton. Plus, I just hated Lindsey. Passive aggressive, stupid (she read his words!) and wanted to play the victim. The more challenging, layered, and interesting storyline would have been Lucas/Peyton both single but building back to romance in season 5. Yeah, Season 5 alone proved to me that Mark definitely didn't like Lucas as a character or even was taking out his issues on Chad on his character.

Absolutely. It’s just so obvious. Then look at how he wrote Lucas in the S9 episode Chad guest starred in. What a joke.
