Thanks, Michelle! I'm just relaxing this day/afternoon. Dad's coming over in 2-3 hours and then he, Mom, sis, and I are going to have dinner at an Indian restaurant that I love.

lol ok. I am going to go to bed pretty soon after all the festivities are done though because I'm going to the city to view an apartment tomorrow. Need to have Mom drop me off at the station since the local buses don't start quite that early. So I'm out the door by 6:15am. I'll probably be back around 6:30pm, but then there's dinner and Tuesday night is a full night of TV now with Pretty Little Liars, White Collar, and Covert Affairs. So we'll see when I'll be on next.

So what's the weather like currently for everyone?

I seriously cannot stand humidity. I don't mind heat (even if I prefer cold weather) as long as the humidity remains tolerable. I don't understand why Minnesota is known as having some of the best summers in the country (I read that, I suppose because of all the lakes and cooler weather up north near Canada?) given how the humidity is always such an issue. I wish I had a place in southern California in the summer to get away from it. Most people would say they wish they had a place in southern California in the winter to get away from the terribly cold Minnesota winters but not me... all about the summer humidity I need to escape.

What about the current weather conditions for everyone else?

Anyway, dinner was excellent! Didn't get too many gifts, but here's what I did get...

• a bunch of money (between cash, checks, and gift cards, the total's over $400)
• a new watch
• the early gift of sneakers
• the early gift of shampoo and conditioner
• Ghostwriter season 1 on DVD
• a manga version of Shakespeare's The Tempest (obviously from Dad aka Shakespeare's biggest fanboy and lol to Dad remembering I was "obsessed" with manga about 8 years ago.. all because of one Ephram Brown, people)
• some new workout shorts

Nice pressies, Gaby! Sounds like a great night too, other than the heat and the humidity.

The weather here has died down a bit from the heat wave last week. It's still hot, summer weather, but there's a nice breeze associated with it. Now, if only my skin would let me tan instead of burn, I'd really be somewhere. Pale Man, coming through.

Extremely hot and humid here....had some thunder/hail storms today....but unfortunately instead of cooling the temp......it's hotter after the rain.

Gaby...not too many gifts? That certainly sounds like many gifts to me.

Anyone have any special plans for the weekend?

I had a job interview today. Don't think I got it, unfortunately, but damn...that was a NICE office. Hee. I'm going to hate going into tomorrow with my not so nice office. There was a couch, a TV, a gorgeous view. *jealous*
