I wish I would have had you as a guide when I last went to NYC. I paid so much for hotels in Manhattan.

The hotel wasn't even very nice and I think the one was like 500 bucks a night. It was right by Time's Square. I split it with that moron from France (you know who I'm talking about). I wanted to get something away from the heart of Manhattan but she insisted. 5 nights, I believe.

You know what's funny? When we were checking in, since I handled the reservation and it was on my credit card I was talking with the guy checking us in... when he told us the price, she kind of hesitated. I have a feeling she would have been just fine with me paying the entire bill for the hotel. Not kidding. I made sure that didn't happen and it was 50/50. I also paid for our meals so many times. I paid for our taxi from the airport to the hotel. I bet I paid for 75% of our dining. Then I bought some things for her son as well. A couple of my Cleveland friends said I should have demanded she give me money back for everything I spent. The way I see it? I paid to get her removed from my life.

She’s a horrible person. I was way too close to the situation to understand. Everyone around me said as much but I didn’t pick up on it until later. I saw the signs in New York City. Whenever she throws fits that I’m getting attention and she’s not it was a red flag. I wish I would’ve told her it’s all about Energy and since her Energy is gray and stale and cold no one is going to be attracted to that Energy. I remember I was on the phone speaking with someone from an establishment in NYC. I ended up laughing with the guy. After phone call had completed she told me I had a nice speaking voice and she wished that she had my speaking voice (she sounds fake and squeaky). The look on her face was almost like she wanted to rip my larynx out of my throat so she could steal my voice. It was bizarre. She got upset when the waiter at a restaurant was being very nice and kind of flirty with me. She got upset whenever I was carrying on a conversation at the theater with two people sitting next to me. These are things that upset her because she wasn’t getting the attention. It was UNREAL. It’s actually very scary when I think about it. Her behavior was concerning but goes right along with what kind of person she is.

I know who you're talking about Michelle and I feel bad that she didn't turn out to be the person you thought she was.

I had a similar experience with someone from here who I met in person, and I was very disappointed to see what she was really like versus what she was like on Fan Forum and on the phone. There are other people from here that I met in person, but I'm not really in touch with them anymore. Friendships can be fleeting and Internet friendships can especially be fleeting.

I am sorry you had a bad experience as well.

I am mad at myself for not seeing her for what she really was initially. She was a true wolf in sheep's clothing. She was even that way on the board. I even remember things she'd say about the board too... Thankful Book for example. She came across as so sweet and giving. Not even close. Her thoughts to me privately were anything but... I should have seen the light a long time before I did. Everyone told me as much.

How's work going today?

Don't blame yourself. People can disguise who they really are on line but eventually the truth comes out. I've seen that on Facebook too. For example, Teresa's niece was a horrible mother who dumped her kids off on her sister when they were little and she had very little to do with raising them, but on Facebook, she goes on and on about how she loves her boys and if you didn't know the truth, you would think she was a great mother.

It's going okay but I hate being back.

You are so right, eventually the truth does come out.

Incredible about Teresa’s niece. So true, this happens quite a bit. Some people take on almost an entirely different identity/personality online. It’s unhealthy and very concerning.

Glad it’s going okay. What day does your boss have off this week? I hope he actually takes it!

How ridiculous. Doesn’t she realize the family understands how much she is posing?
