My Thoughts....
Poor Ephram is not going to get a Kia Sorrento, etc. Ephram: "It's two of what I imagined painted in a color called ugly." Phil: "Your girl will like her." Definitely a psychic. Where are Amy's friends? Why aren't they worried about her? I'd believe Phil if I were you, Andy. I forgot how bad Madison's voice is! No, Ephram doesn't think you sound good. Ephram: "You need a better guitarist and better sound and better songs." Oh....that's all. You asked for the truth, Madison, so now you're pissed because Ephram told you the truth?!? Can't you see that Amy is depressed, Harold? You call yourself a doctor?? Looks like Ephram is smitten....so obvious! Delia knows.... I don't blame Amy from stealing from that prescription pad. No one is listening to her! Harold loves throwing people out. Madison's song has definitely improved, but not her voice! lol Can't Harold hear the desperation in Amy's voice? I don't understand how blind he is and then he tries to make her feel guilty that he has to write her a prescription?? That she needs medicine?? I wish it wasn't Madison who likes Ephram's car. Yes...Linda definitely feels the same way.....So sad that she can't act on her feelings. Delia has that death stare perfected! Heartbreaking scene at the end.... Good episode.... |

Thoughts while watching
- Oh that car, LOL. Both Delia and Ephram are not impressed. You have to wonder why Andy didn't buy Ephram a brand new car. He deserves it. - Never get tired of the mountain scenery... that extra beautiful character. - Is it bad that I cringe seeing the name Sarah Lancaster in the opening credits? I love Lancaster (Chuck!), but just not on this show. - Poor Amy and her depression. Emily does such a good job of showing how Amy can hardly face another day in school. The nonverbal communication is profound. - Phil, the Seer is awesome. I love this storyline. - Madison’s band is terrible. Next. Horrible singing. - I love Linda’s wit with Harold. She definitely gets it from Edna. - Poor Amy. Wyoming. Cheney country. Anti-Vaxxers. That’s bad enough. Your depression won’t get better going to Wyoming, Amy. - Jay, from the band is a loser. - Madison is a witch. How incredibly disrespectful. First of all, she asked Ephram what he thought about her horrible band. He gives an honest opinion and she gets pissed and says as much RIGHT in front of both Andy and Delia. Talk about inappropriate. She is a nightmare. She acts like she owns the place. Seriously, leave the screen. It’s clear she’s mad because she has sexual feelings for a boy, too. Leave the screen, you adult loser. - Phil called it. Meningitis. - Amy breaks my heart. Emily, you amaze me year after year. She’s a brilliant actress. Amy’s story and Harold making it about him and the family is disgusting. Harold, LISTEN TO YOUR DAUGHTER. Why is he so rigid and refuses to help her? He literally asked her what is going on? He doesn’t see that she’s telling him precisely what is going on? She’s paralyzed with incapacitating depression, Harold. Wake up! Harold, she told you what she’s feeling. You’re just not listening. - Phil = clairaudience. I can relate. I have this too (and a few other abilities). - This is SO INAPPROPRIATE. What is Madison doing, bickering with Ephram in front of Delia? I despise this witch. She is completely out of line. - Madison is sensitive about her music. What music? She’s talentless when it comes to music. Why didn’t Berlanti set Ephram up with someone his age who plays piano instead of an annoying adult who sounds horrible? - Poor Delia sits there witnessing this sick romantic flirting. - Harold, don’t look at Amy’s depression as it affecting her long-term if you give her medication to help her in the present. He’s just... so... dead wrong on all of this. It is so frustrating. - Oh God, back to Madison’s disgusting singing and ridiculous band. I need tranquilizers to get through this. - Why should we care about Jay or the band? Wasted space. Imagine actually filling this space with quality instead of trash. - Repulsive watching Madison looking at a boy in a gross manner. Why, Berlanti, why? - So cute how Andy and Edna get take out lunch together. - Edna trying to get Linda/Andy together is so cute. - This entire exchange is so perfect: Quote:
- Emily looks so beautiful and simple in black tanks. She’s a Taurus earth sign and you can tell. So grounded and naturally attractive. - Amy asking Linda if it’s OK for her goal to be to feel nothing is so sad. - How desperate does Amy have to feel to take a piece off of Linda’s prescription pad? She’s not a drug addict. She’s not trying to steal for hardcore drugs. She simply wants to feel better like Laynie. This is so sad to me. She is surrounded by family in the medical profession yet cannot get on a short-term antidepressant to help her feel better and move on with her life? - Andy and Linda banter is so cute. - The Townies freaking out over Phil’s predictions is hilarious. They are so stupidly influenced nonstop. This mostly conservative town is something else. - Phil telling Harold Amy is sick... why don't you listen, Harold? - Oh God, Madison’s singing again, I rather endure a root canal. Two, root canals, in fact... without a numbing agent. - Jay and Madison kissing and Ephram freaking out is poisonous. Madison telling him that he has a crush and that he’s young enough to still be someone that she looks after is accurate so why on earth did she go against this? Why did she tell him he could help her with the band? The weird hot and cold BS she’s giving him is disgusting. But the words she just said to him for once are totally accurate so she should’ve stuck with it and Ephram, the immature little boy, should have listened. He is not an Old Soul. He is acting like a little boy who is horny to be honest and it's just gross. - Harold, you are so wrong here. Stealing a prescription paper is not right but why on earth is he not seeing that she’s desperate? His own daughter is desperate and needs help. Instead he’s angry about the act but not concerned about the deeper meaning behind it. - Harold writes her the prescription and hands it to her like she’s a drug addict. She’s not, Harold. You don’t get it. Poor Amy. Harold, you are failing your daughter right now, dude. - Andy/Linda have chemistry. They are really cute. - Poor Andy when Linda turns away from the kiss. - Phil is me. Lol. Gosh, I can relate. He is so right, people do not want the truth, they only want good news overall. - The scene between Linda/Edna as she’s telling her about HIV is perfection. Best scene of the episode. Debra and Marcia shine together. I am so taken in by the energy. - How can we see such a brilliant scene between Edna and Linda and then have to flip to toxic Ephram/Madison? This is not right. It's just... not right. - Ephram’s speech... talk about disgusting. They are kissing in daylight, literally doing something illegal. I despise Madison but what she said was accurate. Ephram is the one that pushed it here but she should have still said no. Why didn’t she? She’s the freaking adult. Ephram reminds me of a clueless immature, stupid boy here. It doesn't help matters that he suddenly looks younger than he did in S1. He looks so damn young. It’s so uncomfortable watching these two. I need ginger pills for nausea. - Phil is hilarious giving out that prediction. Townies are so influenced. - Andy and Linda... Delia is certainly not happy. I love Delia but still don't quite understand why she hates Linda so much at this point. - Edna breaking down in Irv's arms is so powerful and what a way to end the episode. General Thoughts Emily showcasing Amy's struggle is magnificent. I love the consistency of this storyline, depicting a very real depression. The storyline is so grounded and realistic. So Everwood. I hated Harold throughout the episode anywhere near Amy. He was yelling at her, treating her like a drug addict when all she wanted was short-term assistance with an antidepressant to help her function while she gets back on her feet. What the hell is the big deal, Harold? What is wrong with you? The poor girl is literally pleading for her father's help. It is heartbreaking seeing Amy so desperate and her own father makes her feel like she can control it. It's absolutely disgusting. As a psychologist, this storyline bothers me immensely. I know that many MDs (non-psychiatrist MDs) don't get too educated when it comes to mental health which has always been an area of frustration for me. However, Harold certainly knows enough about depression to understand that his very own daughter is drowning and needs help in order to survive. Shame on Harold. I thought Amy was his favorite? He's treating her like trash. It is so sad. People have commented on how poorly at times Harold has treated Bright throughout the series. Well, to be honest, what he is doing to Amy right now is much worse than anything he has ever done to Bright. This is awful, borderline abusive behavior on Harold's end. Madison is disgusting in this one. She always is but this one she was the definition of toxicity. I mentioned above all of her inappropriate behavior, and going there right in front of Delia and even Andy. I mentioned that Madison was actually right telling Ephram that it can't mean anything between them even if she sounded unsure. She still said it and Ephram fought it. She then backed down. Disgusting. Ephram's speech was dumb. Sounded smooth of course and would have been amazing to anyone but the adult babysitter. Is he this immature still? I guess so. He is simply TOO young. Everyone knows girls mature faster too. So if Ephram is 16 he's really, maturity-wise YOUNGER than 16 which is a really scary, disgusting thought. He is simply TOO damn young in the maturity department, he is a boy. I actually think the really sick part is Madison seems to be attracted to his boyish immaturity. Talk about repulsive. I think that's why she eventually starts calling him honey and sweetie like a mother would call her young child. Makes. Me. Sick. It is so gross that they do not remain casual friends instead of the illegal poison they are turning into. Linda and Andy are massively adorable. I love them. This is the perfect relationship for Andy right now, even with the serious nature known as Linda's health. They are a nice pairing for Andy at this moment in time. I enjoyed the Phil storyline. I can relate so much. Feeling like an outsider, people wanting my attention due to being a Seer and Empath. I really relate so much. Edna and Linda lit up the screen together. Really, the MVP is a tie between Edna, Amy and Linda. All three were all about fireworks. So compelling. So powerful. So emotionally-moving. Last point on Ephram, Ephram/Madison: One of many reasons why I loathed Ephram/Madison... Ephram just looks stupid so much of the time, like his brain is simply not working. He has really pathetic moments. It is unfortunate because Ephram is better than this trash named Madison. It is such an unhealthy situation for Ephram. One can say Amy is battling intense depression but Ephram is also having issues with his mental health given the unhealthy effects his relationship with Madison has on him. Essentially both Ephram and Amy broke free from chains that were restraining them once Amy's depression lifted and Ephram got away from Madison. Last edited by jediwands; 08-28-2021 at 04:33 PM |

I wish Rose would take control. She is her mother. In my house, the mother ruled over everything. I wish Rose had more of a voice. She's a mayor, she knows how to lead. Lead at home, Rose! Quote:
