Did Dawson and Pacey ever reconcile? We're they friends again at the end? This is something I can never remember...

They didn't have any long one on one scenes in the finale. I think they wanted the audience to think Dawson and Pacey were on good terms at the end by the phone call between Joey/Pacey and Dawson. But I got the feeling that they would never be as they were as kids, which is realistic. People grow and change.

Yeah I totally agree, but I think the loss of their friendship is one of the saddest things about the show I wish things were different.

In the Longest day episode Joey said something about not wanting to be what broke Dawson and Paceys friendship and I could understand her point but I think the end if their friendship was a long time coming. Joeys heart might have been what was the last straw but Pacey and Dawson were already growing apart .

Pacey didn't want to do it and he told Dawson as much, but Dawson kept at him until he gave in and then it still ended up being Pacey's fault. I didn't like that about Dawson.

I agree, Dawson wasn't always likeable, but James seems okay. To be honest, I haven't seen much of him in real life, but he has a beautiful family.

I'm re-watching parts of season 3 and watched the season 4 premiere. Joey was miserable after she broke up with Pacey in season 3, and then Dawson comes to this awesome realization that he's being selfish to her and lets her go, then in the season 4 premiere, he's still behaving like a child.

I don't know, 20 years on and I still can't find it to actually like Dawson Leery.

lol I didn't know there was an anti Dawson thread. Then again, he's so boring he can't even keep his own hate thread afloat. Anyway, yeah Dawson was always a selfish, hypocritical, manipulative baby. After he blackmailed Joey into dumping Pacey, he "let her go" as another manipulative ploy plus he realized once again Joey is settling for him while being miserable not being with who she really wants. Couldn't stand him back then and as an adult, I find him even more immature and annoying.
