The critically acclaimed drama series "Nashville" returns for a third season. In the season two finale, Rayna was left at a crossroads with marriage proposals from both Luke, her superstar boyfriend, and Deacon, her first love and the father of her oldest child. Whom will she choose? And how will she navigate the turbulent road helming her own label, Highway 65? Juliette had lost the security of her newfound love with rising artist Avery, which foundered when she cheated on him with Jeff Fordham, the record label executive who has made no secret of his contempt for her. This season she will not only grapple with that heartbreak, but also with a pregnancy.

Will's sham of a marriage is cracking under the weight of his admission to his wife Layla that he's gay, and to the cameras of the reality show shadowing their every move. Will his burgeoning career be his salvation or an albatross? Scarlett, Gunnar and Avery continue to struggle to find their muses and voices within in the music industry, and the dynamics of their careers, friendships and search for love seems to shift continually.

Rayna's daughters, Daphne and Maddie, cope with their mother's engagement as well as her ever-increasing fame, while her ex-husband, Teddy, forms a shaky new alliance with Rayna's nemesis, Jeff Fordham.

"Music City" can mean so many things to different people. In Nashville, musicians and songwriters are at the heart of the storm driven by their own ambitions. Some are fueled by their creativity and passion for fame. Others struggle to cope with the pressures of success and doing everything in their power to stay on top.

"Nashville" stars Connie Britton as Rayna Jaymes, Hayden Panettiere as Juliette Barnes, Clare Bowen as Scarlett O'Connor, Chris Carmack as Will Lexington, Will Chase as Luke Wheeler, Eric Close as Teddy Conrad, Charles Esten as Deacon, Oliver Hudson as Jeff Fordham, Jonathan Jackson as Avery Barkley, Sam Palladio as Gunnar Scott, Lennon Stella as Maddie Conrad and Maisy Stella as Daphne Conrad.

Dee Johnson ("Boss," "The Good Wife"), "The War Room," "A Perfect Candidate"), Callie Khouri ("Thelma & Louise") and Steve Buchanan are executive producers of "Nashville." The series is produced by Lionsgate, ABC Studios and Opry Entertainment.

Sorry about that, forgot to post to say I was making one. It took longer than I expected to load. Funny that we thought about the same title though

I also found it EXTREMELY annoying that the writers tweeted multiple times (2-3) "probably not the Deyna scene you were hoping for!!" Gleeful. Rubbing our faces in it. Unless you are about to make good on that taunting in a big way, that's hateful, a bad idea, and doesn't promote good will.

How do they go from Javery in this episode to them getting married in the next? I mean reunion is very welcome, the whole fandom is basically wanting it and rooting for them. But getting married?! I have to say I do like Javery scenes a lot, and they are the best part of the show.

it makes sense to me that once Avery would admit to himself that he is still in love with her and is ready to be back with her that he would go all in like he was ready to before he found out about the cheating. And they have been dancing around each other the two past episodes. And I think that line from the promo is from the proposal scene, basically he can't just be friends with her when he is madly in love with her and they are expecting therefore they are going for the wedding switcheroo and have J/A elope instead. I like it. It's them.

You just need to accept that these writers are god awful. I mean, if they actually wrote that episode than they clearly have no clue what fans like. They probably think the fans enjoy being taunted.

In the Rolling Stone article, is Rayna supposed to have said something, like, she doesn't know why Deacon hasn't moved on?

How Cold! We don't know what was actually said, but that just sounds like, "Oh yes, poor guy, so in love with me"

I sure hope they don't have him fall off the wagon, again. He's done so well ,he has a Daughter, he adores. If he can't handle his situation with Rayna, w/o drinking, it's going to give credence to the people who say they are bad for each other. Don't Drink Deacon, NO!

This episode was different than what the sides (and even the press release) promised it would be. That makes me wonder, are we 100% sure Rayna is not marrying Luke ? Because, after this episode, I don't really see why she wouldn't.

Argh! Don't say that! Although I have actually wondered the same myself If she does marry Luke I am actually done with the show. It's been tough sticking it out for this long. It's only the promise that she doesn't marry the be-hatted eejit that's kept me going.

Yeah, that would be it for me too. Although we did see that picture from filming 311 where she wasn't wearing the ring.

I just think this particular writing team did more damage to Rayna and I sort of think that was their goal. I don't know why, after this episode, Deacon would even want to be with her anymore. I'm not even sure Debra Fordham can fix this.

Debra Fordham is seemingly the only one on the writing staff who writes as though she's seen the show before. A lot of the others, especially the 2 who wrote last night's, just seem to have been given a brief synopsis of the story so far, and told to get on with it.

He has cancer, that's why he collapsed, he's not going to drink. It's a red herring. And yes this was different than the sides, but not that different. I'm sure their script was just too long and scenes needed to be clipped, and if Deacon wasn't singing they needed to give a different reason for him being there. I've seen sides for three episodes ahead of next week, Luke is out on the road hanging with hot ladies and Rayna is at home, so if they got married a lot has changed.

Totally agree. It's like none of the writers have ever met each other and they all have different visions of each of the characters which equals absolutely no consistency with any of the characters. Very irritating and disappointing to watch!

Sorry--accidently put this in the old thread first...
