Formerly known as Degrassi's toughest over-achiever, Katie's world fell apart after a serious soccer injury left her addicted to painkillers. After rehab and recovering from a bad break up, she's ready to redefine herself at Degrassi. (TeenNick)

2. Because her personal struggles were a curious mystery at her character introduction.

4. Because even though she was on for only two seasons she had several major story lines.

6. Because like Chloe, we hoped Katie would be held back at Degrassi after completing rehab.

9. "You know I’m trans, right?" "I guess I was just thinking of you as one of the guys."
10. All the boys want her! She was a player in several love triangles.

14. She has an incredible Type A possibility!
15. She doesn't let her imperfections hold her back! (ex. she knows she can't sing, but does it anyways!)

19. Because she is a refreshing change from the queen bees who want to rule the school.
20. Because she is still trying to figure out who she wants to be as opposed to who she thinks others want her to be. The story lines are endless!
21. She's strong willed and can handle her own against anybody!
22. Because she was there supporting Clare and Maya during two of the most powerful emotional moments of season 12.

Favorite (Moments)
1. Her chaperoning Maya's date with Cam. From her interrogating Cam while chomping on a piece of licorice to her squinting so intently while looking for Drew and Bianca after Maya told her she was saw them.
2. Her and Jake channeling Emma and Ashley while presenting the idea for Jake's garden to Snake.
3. That "come on" head bob she gives Jake when he hesitates on calling his father when things became a disaster area when they were trying to lay down the garden.
4. The conversation between her and Dallas as they deal with the reality of their sports careers ending (in his case, because of talent, in her case, because of injury). It's rare this show has their characters that reflective and mature about their futures in a career. Contrast that to Eli talking about going to NYU , Clare become the next Asher whateverhislastnameis, Alli getting a scholarship to go to MIT early, or even Dave winning a talent show and getting a cameo on a TV show? This conversation and their situations felt much more real to me.
5. "The way has become clear. I'm finally free." For me, this is one of the defining moments of the season. And I mean that in a good way.
6. Best buddies Marisol and Katie run into newly reunited Drew and Bianca. Katie can barely raise her head to look at him since he recently ordered her to remain silent about their first time having sex. One of the best moments of a character looking weak and wounded. I'm still haunted by that.
7. Playing bathroom guard. Everyone can pee. But not you. You are not allowed.
8. "You can't replace Cam." "He never even said goodbye." Katie consoles a grief stricken Maya.
9. The garden is closed after Cam's suicide, frustrating those who put hard work into it. Katie is the first to take action and picks up a hammer. She and the others break down the wall and take back the garden.
10. "You...you oughta know." Katie is bitter after her break up with Drew and sings along with Alanis.
