Back in Season Four they had a two-parter episode where Sisko goes back to Earth to help in an attack from the Dominion and a thought occured to me.

Why not do a "Red Squad" series? It's exactly what Trek needs right now, you could have a young group of cadets, the best and the brightest, an elite crowd at Starfleet which might hook the younger viewers. It's high school/college meets Star Trek and that's what networks want now, young viewers.

As mentioned in the episode, "Red Squad" go on missions so you wouldn't be earth bound and the fact that it's set in school could easily make for new cast/exiting cast members.

I think it could be an interesting chapter in Trek history.

Hi everybody! Definitely a big DS9 fan ... especially of O/K. Anybody here make avvies for O/K? I got this one a while ago, only I'm not sure where (and if the maker of it is reading this ... I'm very sorry I didn't credit you for it, it's wonderful!).

Aw, that's sweet of you Nikki. Thanks.

I used to have a link for some DS9 avatars in the icon/fan art thread. Unfortunately, it no longer works so I've edited it out.

Thanks! I'll get some pics ready for you.

Anybody here reading the relaunch novels? "Unity" is a must-read ... and Avatar I & II. Interesting twist on everything, and some new crew members .

New relaunch novels come out in July & August '09.

I haven't read any of the novels, so no. I take it that you're looking forward to them?

Just re-read the Terok Nor trilogy ... awesome read for DS9 fans . Gives great background history (which is believable) and re-introduces past characters. Anybody else read these novels?
