Season Finale titled "Phantom" will air on May 17 at 8PM.

The network is also repeating the episode ten days later - on Sunday, May 27 at 8PM.

MARTIAN MANHUNTER RETURNS
When Clark (Tom Welling) discovers Lionel (John Glover) threatened to kill him unless Lana (Kristin Kreuk) married Lex (Michael Rosenbaum), he goes after Lionel to silence him once and for all. Lana tells Lex she is leaving him, and Martian Manhunter (guest star Phil Morris) makes a return appearance to help Clark stop Lex, who is trying to find the last wraith from the Phantom Zone in order to use its DNA to power his army of super soldiers. Meanwhile, Lois (Erica Durance) goes to Reeves Dam in search of information about Lex's secret lab and is brutally stabbed by a security guard. Chloe's (Allison Mack) secret power is revealed.

Annette O'Toole also stars.
Todd Slavkin & Darren Swimmer wrote the episode directed by James Marshall.

Smallville knows how to do spectacular shocking finales and they didn't dissapoint. Won't say it's a classic.. I can name at least three I'd rate ahead of it. But still pretty good.

My theory panned out. Lionel was Lion-El. Of course it still isn't clear when he went after Clark was it to protect Clark, to protect Lex, or both?

Course come episode two of next season I'd put my money on all of them coming back to life.

They didn't pull any punches on this one!!

BUT, Chloe's power was exactly what I thought it would be.
Pretty cliche but way cool for her!!!

Tom was AWESOME!!!

Can't believe how much they went the 24 route.
Had me biting my nails and saying "Oh my God."

Going to drive me nuts all summer.
One of the better episodes.

Lots of good and lots of bad. But I'm hoping the bad will turn around next season.

I will say there are 2 Clarks at the end and that could be fun next season

Correction - there aren't two Clarks.
There is Kal -El to the extreme with NONE of Clark's feelings or guidelines.
This Kal-el should be everything we FEAR in a superbeing. Everything we have been afraid of Clark becoming.
Pure Evil.

AND I am SOOOO looking forward to Tom doing it.
I love the badboy side.

Then there is Clark. Sweet and kind, and tormented by his human upbrining that makes him afraid to cross a line.

No, I don't think they'll bring Lana back.
Actually, I HOPE they don't. I have nothing against her character, nothing against the actress, I just really think it's time for the story to advance.

Oh my god two dead Clohe is she dead or will she be brought back to life by say Martian Manhunter . #2 lana two friends said the truck drove by just as Lana was getting in her SUV as it blew up so if she alive or really dead.

The Phantom zone entity enters clark creating have to read the comics folks, BIZZARO the face was all crystal (Superman) this is not Red kyrtponite Clark at all . Bizzaro was from a world of everything and everybody was 100% opposite of all Earth beings .

Lionel left laying this room of the Dam as it was being smashed to bits by Superboy, clark and bizzaro . Meanwhile Lois and Clohe trapped in this dam area water pouring in.

Ok Lois can't die but sadly Clohe and lana can

September is a long way away to get what i feel is the last season.

To the first thing wow, I totally know what you mean! Plus seeing their final battle in its entirety will be worth waiting for.

And to the second I agree. As a Lana fan it pains me to say it, but her death might be just what Clark and Lex need to further their own destinies. I will be sad to see her go though.

I did not see Chloe's power coming at all and so was pleasantly shocked and surprised by it. But so glad that she was able to save Lois. I only hope that they can save her as well. In other Chloe thoughts, did anyone else think that she didn't look as happy for Clark and Lana as she sounded when she found out that Lana knew Clark's entire secret? It seemed like her face went from being really happy to kind of sadish. Are they bringing Clark/Chloe back? I just want Clois.

I am thinking that Lionel might be dead for good this time, which would be kind of sad, I hope they don't get rid of both Lionel and Martha for next season.

And finally seeing Clark fly, even if it was his evil Bizarro twin is very exciting. I was just thinking today how I wished that he would fly again and there it was! Plus Bizarro! Next season is looking good.

I think that was mainly because Chloe always felt special being the only one too know his secret, she is his best friend. So i think she is probably just a little jealous and annoyed that Clark would tell Lana that so easily when she had to find out from someone else?
