I'm excited to see this episode. I have really been needing a Lois fix and I think this episode is just what the doctor ordered!

There will be plenty of Lois in it, so yes, for Lois Lane fans, this should be a fun & entertaining episode

Really enjoyed tonight's episode! Lot of Lois moments.
Okay how sad was it that Clark had to stop Wes only to kill him and then seeing Lois lean over his dead body and grieve for him. I wanted to cry! Loved the Clark/Lana moment tonight when he met her in her bedroom and then quickly left when Lex was about to enter. I love that she is pulling a Clark Kent in that the tables have gotten reversed and she is the one protecting him instead. The Ares Super Soldiers are sweet!!!! When they showed all of the bodies near the end, it kind of reminded me of an X-Files episode. Okay, Lois Lane really kicked butt tonight! I was really glad to see her. And Ben Hubbard was mentioned tonight, sweet! Tonight's episode totally rocked, the previous two had been kind of a drag for me. Glad they made up for it tonight. __________________

Very interesting and, yes, Lois fans, lots of Lois Also for those of us that are still Clana fans, a very tender Clana moment
I think Lex is smarter than I have given him credit for in the past Don't want to say any more now. |

Okay, I had a major problem with this episode. The Lois/Wes crap. He was married to a beautiful woman who clearly loved him...and suddenly it's about Lois and him sharing a kiss when they were kids? WTF? Talk about a major bash to the relationship he had with his beautiful wife who more of less died for him. I didn't buy the Lois/Wes crap. The acting between them wasn't very good either.
I loved Lana spying on Lex. 'Stuff' is going to hit the fan next week if that promo is anything to go by! Lex is a bastard. The Clana was great. I love and hate those almost kisses. __________________

Yea, I was thinking the same thing. Did he forget his poor wife? Why didn't he even ask about her?
Those kisses drive me crazy too |

Not a bad episode!

Especially since it's usually Clark who ends up with people dieing on him (meteor mutants, Alicia, Jonathan). You could tell he knew exactly what Lois was going through there. Great acting by Tom. Quote:
But the first thing that popped into my mind was "Lex sure likes his boys naked, in tiny shorts and bondaged." What? It looks really interesting. I'm so glad that they made a good story out of 33,1, and that all this time he was collecting meteor mutants for a reason. Quote:
The way she digged up the dirt on the Senator, and confronted him. And with Wes. The way she managed to get to him. That first kiss story was adorable. "And then you puked and passed out." Good writing, with mentioning the scar. "Remember me!" send chills down my spine. That was excellent. The end was heartbreaking. But I'm so glad it just made Lois more determined to bring Lex down. They mocked Inquisitor a few times in this episode. And it makes me so happy. Because it can only mean one thing - she's gonna write an expose on Lex and get a job in Daily Planet after that. (not spoilers just me speculating) Great Lois episode! Finally. Quote:
But do they really think Clark will be able to take care of the farm on his own?! Quote:
Oh Lex honey, she didn't mean you. BTW best line of the episode was from that scene. Quote:
The delivery slayed me!! Although Lionel and "Letting go. Never one of your strong points" was also priceless. Mock away Magnificent Bastard. Mock away! Lois was also great while comforting Chloe about how distance is good for a relationship. "That's what all the guys who moved away from me said." Not to mention an instant classic: "You're just hoping to catch me in the shower again." Hilarious! And Martha's look! Quote:
It wasn't so much about the kiss, but about triggering his memory (thanks to the story that happened at the place he took her to). I'm noticing the BtVS avie, so - I took it to be a bit like 'yellow crayons' speech with Xander and Willow in season 6 finale. Tell a familiar story that meant something to the two of you to 'get him back'. Quote:
Second, there wasn't really much time. And in the end he wanted to make sure she promises what happened to him won't happen to others. Makes sense with him being a military guy and thinking about what's best for others first. Plus it was obvious that the story won't have a happy ending. He must have known that he'll end up dead. For all he knows Lois has no idea who his wife is, and it would take a while to explain. And then what? Send Lois to tell his wife (and as far as he knows she probably thinks he's dead) that her dead husband send her a message? As far as Wes goes. Kudos Tahmoh. Great guest starring. __________________

I was fine with Lois triggering his memory. I even liked it. But why did it have to be romantic like? I was all for the storyline (friends) until she starts telling her story about him kissing her and taking her to the place it happened when it's been years and he was drunk and he's married! Before the episode, I speculated that maybe Clark would beat Wes by bringing up his wife, who gave her life trying to find him so you can't blame me for being disappointed. So Lois knew him when they were kids, great, but why did they have to bring romance into it is all I want to know? You can fight for a friend and seek revenge for them. It doesn't have to be romantic in any fashion.

I loved this episode. I was actually never bored during it for once, its been a while, and at the end I was sitting on the edge of my seat with my mouth open saying WTF... it was awesome.
The Wes and Lois thing was perfect, we all remember our first kiss its an important moment in our lives, so to me it made perfect sense, it doesnt tarnish the love he had for his wife, we all remember fondly our first kiss without it being disrepectful to our current flames. He also doesnt know his wife is dead or she gave her life for him so I dont think that played into it. Friendship is one thing but to trigger a memory when he was that far gone had to go further than just friends it had to be a defining moment they both remember fondly. Seeing all those bodies lined up at the end and Lex saying its just the beginning was awesome, Im so looking forward to next week now...its been a while since an episode of Smallville has got me anxiouly waiting for the next episode. Well done Smallville. __________________

At least I didn't notice any romantic feelings that would still be present when I watched the episode the last two times. They were just remembering how close they once were. It does make more sense that she was able to reach him if they were once close, than it would if they barely knew each other. Quote:

Not a bad farewell episode for DeKnight. I'm going to miss Steve. __________________

Because all I saw was fond memories, nothing more. Personally I think places like that (where you had your first kiss, and others that meant something for some reason) are the ones you remember a bit more than the others. His brain probably picked the first place it recognized that is linked to a past event he'd easily remember. He didn't know why he took her there until she made him remember the story. As far as his wife goes. It doesn't matter how she died for this episode to work, he doesn't even know that she's dead. She wasn't there for him to recognize her. Lois was. His brain made the connection and went from there to find a way to break the brain-washing. Weather he thought of his wife or not wasn't important. Stopping Lex and Project Ares was. And they made sure that Lex didn't get his hands on 'the asset' again. Wes died a hero. __________________
