Yes that was in the book and it wasn't included in the movie. I would have preferred to see that but instead we already see him buried and Voldemort getting the Elder wand.

It would've been really good to see that part in the movie because Dumbledore is such a well-loved character.

I honestly can't remember and would need to double check. I would understand in the movie why he didn't wear one though.

Most likely. I can imagine Dan wearing the cape and he was on a rocky surface of that cave so the cape might be getting in the way too of shooting.
