Snape is a Death Eater but I've always thought that it was going to be Harry who kills Voldemort as justice for his parents' death.

Maybe because he has to to avenge his parents. Although he is a kid and I didn't want him to kill anyone but I do prefer that ending we had with Voldemort's death.
