You're welcome.
Here is a belated update from recent events. First of all in the Davis Cup final, it came down to the fifth and deciding rubber where Lucas Pouille routed Steve Darcis 6-3, 6-1, 6-0 to clinch a 3-2 victory France over Belgium. Congrats to the French Connection on winning the Davis Cup for the first time since 2001. I'm especially for Jo-Wilfried and Richie that they were part of the team that brought the Davis Cup back to France. Also in the final WTA tournaments of the year; Belinda Bencic won the Taipei Open, Aryna Sabalenka won the Mumbai Open and Zhang Shuai won the Hawaii Tennis Open. So that's the story from the final events of the year. Of course the 2018 season is not that far away with the Australian Open looming on the horizon. __________________

The 2018 season is finally here.
The first events of the year are the Brisbane International, the Qatar ExxonMobile Open in Doha, the Tata Maharashtra Open and the Shenzhen Open. Andy Murray is scheduled to make his long awaited return to action in Brisbane. __________________

So happy that the tennis season has started. I saw the end of Halep's match and I fell asleep watching Maria's match with my friend.

Here's an update from the first events of the new year.
First of all in Brisbane, Nick Kyrgios won the men's singles title and Elina Svitolina won the women's singles title. In Doha, Gael won the Qatar ExxonMobile Open. Also Gilles Simon won the Tata Maharashtra Open, Simona Halep won the Shenzhen Open, Julia Goerges defeated Caroline to win the ASB Classic and Fed and Belinda Bercic won the Hopman Cup. So that's the update from the first events of the new year. Next up on the schedule will be the Sydney International ,the men's edition of the ASB Classic in Auckland and the Hobart International. As mentioned earlier, former champion Serena Williams and Andy Murray withdrew from the Australian Open last week along with Kei Nishikori. Two time champion Vika withdrew due to an ongoing custody battle. Plus Nole is uncertain about his availability to play in the Australian Open and will play in the Kooyong exhibition event in Hong Kong. Getting back to Andy Murray, he had surgery on his right hip and hopes to return by the grass court season. __________________

Hopefully Andy Murray will be available by Wimbledon. Curious to see this year's Aussie Open draw.
