I saw the premiere with my grandfather last night when he watched it, and I liked it. So far I already think the show is doing well without Roseanne being a part of it.

Same for me. I always get agitated when people try to use mental illness as an excuse for bad behavior. That's part of why mental illness isn't taken so seriously these days. And that's just wrong.

I really enjoyed it. Depressing but you expected it and they did amazing job bringing the humor that you would expect. The actors sold it. I love how Dan was there for little Mark and while he was obviously uncomfortable, he was able to help and give his advice even if didn't agree with it.

About Roseanne. I do think something is wrong with her. Mental Illness or something. Of course it doesn't given her license to be a ass... and to say what she does. She wasn't this bad or we just didn't hear about it back in the early years. Of course there was no social media and she always was unique. Still, I think in recent years she's gotten worse with whatever she is inflicted with... IF ABC thought she would stay silent, they were probably wrong... But then they probably knew by now, she would use any platform to get attention.

I am glad the rest of the cast has ability to do the show their way. And I am curious where this goes from here...

Well said Ashely, it's frustrating to have these stereotypes.

I agree Jasper, it was well done with the right mix of humour and sadness.

I liked seeing the Jackie/Darlene scene at the end when she admits she doesn't want to go home and then the humor with the corn holders poking my shoulder part!

Very frustrating and unfair.

That scene with them was both heartbreaking and hilarious with the corn holder. I really got a kick out of that one.

I am glad they were able to separate the actress and character and have her character have a emotional death.

I do agree that barr has some type of illness but it doesn't give her an excuse to post that stuff. I am trying to move on from that drama

I am really enjoyed last night. Love seeing David. Still hold out hope if they do more with BBT ending, Johnny will be open to do more of the Connors. You can totally see Darlene and David aren't over yet despite what it seems. The haven't officially signed divorce papers.

Interesting they dated the fact they slept together three months ago... Anyways, the chemistry between the two is there...

Everyone is more comfortable with their characters as life is getting on.

I like how they deal with real life issues that anyone can have, like Becky's dependence on alcohol.

I know they mention before how she took Mark's death hard, and made choices she regrets. So to coupled that loss now with her mother's loss and how it went down, she's reeling. Makes sense now that Dan caught on the fact she was drinking at 630 a.m and had vodka in that water bottle. He probably had seen it before... And it's been reawakened again in his daughter.

I didn't understand how Dan could have caught on that quickly. But now that I think about it. She lost her husband, and probably was drinking and doing things so Dan has seen it but maybe it wasn't as troublesome but coupled with how he lost his wife to abuses unchecked... until it was too late. It makes sense he is worried for his daughter.

Very true and the difference is that the actor that played Mark really did pass away so it makes it more real.
