IA but when you wrote it without quoting me it felt like where this came from

Schmece pretended to be just physical but what they showed was otherwise, they were emotionally attached since the beginning. You cannot just hide altogether

Sorry, you are the one that started a new thread.

Yeah, they could not pull it off. It's like how Sarah said she had no feelings for Chuck when we knew it went back to season one. One fact that was confirmed in that awful finale.

Me too! I can't go through that again. The HIMYM finale almost broke me, thanks a lot Carter and Craig! I think we will be okay though, cause on average most shows at least have an okay if not great finale. Very few, throw away the whole series for the sake of a "good" story or twist.

I agree. I also think a lot of people took note of the failure that was HIMYM's finale.

I hope they did!!! I cannot even imagine how devastating it would be if it happens with NG. But it seems to me NG writers are more into the change than HIMYM writers. And if they go with pilot, its already written as NJ and SC

By that you mean, change their minds about the direction of the show based on how the show goes? I have heard that some tv writers at some point let the show dictate where the story went. I think that's what happened on NIMYM. But then they threw all that out for the finale. You can't do that. I have a feeling, they didn't plan on BArney and Robin at all. So, they ran with it cause it was fun, but then they didn't fully commit to it.

I think almost all of the show runners are into pilot-series finale paralleling. Because they know and have an imagination of how they want to end the series in the finale even at the beginning. They can tell completely another story in the middle, it wouldn't change the ending for them, as it happened in HIMYM. But sometimes something they never imagined happens, fans invest in the story told in the middle, or some other character takes off, then a smart writer and producer should base their ending to them imo. Otherwise it feels like it was a waste of time. Like it happened in HIMYM or LOST for NG, there are already very strict ways in story telling imo and it does not challenge the pilot at all imo -so far-. So they can finish the way they imagined in the pilot. I would hate these lofties drifting apart somehow and losing touch with them. They have became a family and they should stay like that at the end too

Thank you and in the case of Dawson's to name one, Kevin changed his mind about Dawson and Joey. I think he knew where the fan base was at. I have no worries about New Girl though. Cause, yeah, they did have the couples in mind since the beginning. So there is a sense of comfort that comes from knowing that.

TBH Dawson was a very boring character and whiney Those characters are always repelling to the audience. They never take off. Ted for instance, Dan in GG, writers put them in the center but audience don't. They have fans but majority favors Pacey types more. Barney or Chuck in GG, More layered and complex characters, troubled in general, father issues, but sarcastic and fun, have a bad boy edge with a big romantic heart I was not in the fandom back then, social media and/or forums, online fandom were not mainstream yet so I cannot compare it to today, but I knew PJo was endgame. If it wouldn't be, it would have been really a waste of time for me. Dawson and Joey were connected as well but in comparison to PJo it was nothing for me. They didn't have the chemistry.

For NG if they are not lying and I wanna believe they don't (because I saw lying producers and writers before lol) we are safe

I haven't seen much of Dawson's, cause all I really care about is Pacey and Joey. So, I totally agree about Dawson. It's funny you mentioned Ted cause I thought about him right before I read that sentence. It is funny what the audience likes and doesn't. Honestly, that's why I am Sheldon over Leonard. Lenny is a lot more whiney and I hate that. So glad to have a show that we can just sit back and relax and enjoy!

I thought about adding Leaonard too! I will tell smt about it in the OTT

I just watched Jake's latest interview and he also mentions how fans invest in the show and characters, people telling him that they are Nick in RL And he mentions how he also wants a happy ending for all of the characters too, even with or without Jess for Nick. He doesn't want him to end like how he started in the series. In the end it might be like "Girl you are crazy, you are nuts" but also might be otherwise, he just wants a happy ending for everyone. So they are aware of fan interest in characters. NJ is still a rooted couple but they definitely got a backlash from their fans too in S3. Most of the media don't want them as a couple, there are many fans who didn't like them as a couple and I can say this now because I am aware and writers said the way S3 is written was a mistake. So I am just guessing from all of these that NJ are endgames but probably getting together at the end. And SC is safe because they regretted making Schmidt "evil" in S3. So I don't think he will screw up that bad in the future And we will get happy endings for everyone hopefully
