Thanks for the new thread! I love the title. Bob's absolutely right about that. Clarke was his main encouragement in the first season and I really think he's channeling her in this season when he's solo. You can just TELL

Someone wrote a meta on tumblr that I had to share here. :thud:

Am I still allowed to say I ship Bellarke if I think analyzing these tiny things is grasping at straws? I mean...I love Bellarke and everything, but I'm cringing here.

Also, Layne (a self-professed non-shipper) made comments about seeing Clarke's influence on Bellamy. That's really all that meta is. I liked it, thought I'd post it here. :shrug:

Clarke has greatly influenced Bellamy in becoming the leader that he is. I think thats why a lot of people love them so much. Together they are stronger. They NEED each other. Bellamy's calmness is definitely reflecting off of everything he's learned since he teamed up with Clarke. He's not as hotheaded anymore and I think she taught him that. They level each other out and thats why I love them so much

While I do find the different approaches of Bellamy and Finn to be significant, I don't know that it's very telling in terms of their relationships with Clarke. Or maybe. I'm not sure.

I see their current actions taking them each down a certain path. Bellamy has been where Finn is, but for a different reason. And he's already learned from that. He and Clarke learned together. As I said in the episode discussion thread, Finn's actions aren't really making sense to me right now. Logically I get where the writers are trying to tell us he's coming from. But I don't feel it. Bellamy's actions totally make sense. So I suppose ultimately what's happening now contributes to their overall character which will also define their individual relationships with Clarke.

Did I just circle back to contradict myself? Possibly. I think I need to go to bed.

Yeah, like for instance, Monty probably showed just as much understanding of Clarke as Finn and Bellamy. They all know she's a tough cookie... okay. They've all spent a lot of time with her for the past month.
