I don't know what to make of Sydney really. Or even what the state leader is doing. Its stupid. We should know better. We should be able to see what it was like in other countries & just know how to follow a simple instruction. Stay home, stay safe, & stop being idiots . The Prime Minister is hopeful we can get 80% of the vaccinations done in the country by Christmas ... sooner would be nicer but hopefully he's right

For me it is to see which is better or less of a risk for my one kidney. That is what makes me cautions. But yeah otherwise Pfizer is the recommended one here for my age group. Being desperate they did open up AZ to everyone though so I can try get either. I'm going to have to match my short day at work with getting a doctor's appointment (& find a place willing to take on a new patient) first. Hopefully just a GP can advice me as if not then I'll need to speak to a Kidney Specialist which will also be fun to get to

Hope you have/had a good birthday Hanna

Steph

Congrats to your sister(?)/family Hanna on the birth of your niece

Hopefully he'll be right with his hope Christmas would be mid-summer for you, so it makes sense...

I would personally stay away from AZ, but I don't really know what is recommended with just one kidney...

I did! Yesterday was a wonderful stress-free-unusual-birthday for me... I actually had a really good time... Which of course meant that today I had a few aftermath loud discussions, but nothing too severe...

It's basically just that my oldest sister gave birth to her daughter - my niece - on Jul 30, 3 weeks early... And all my sister was willing to tell the family, is that there's a story behind why the birth was medically started.... But that she refuses to talk about it, maybe in 1 or 2 weeks... So we don't know basically nothing other than the little girl's name... And that's frustrating, nothing really new, but she seems to be drifting away from her own family by the day...

Anyways, vaccination no 2 done. Muscle pain & tiredness tick. Will see if I'll have fever too as well tomorrow, when I go back to work... But otherwise all is good

Hopefully they get that many vaccinated there by Christmas Chelle. Hope you can find a doctor to give you the information you need to make your decision on a vaccine.

Happy belated birthday Hanna! Glad to hear you had a good day! And congrats on the niece!

Good you have no real side affects from your second shot!

Christmas is about mid-Summer, yeah. Why does that make sense? It would make sense if they'd done more than they have now. Trying to get there by Christmas I think is still a dream tbh but we'll see

I don't think AZ is as bad as it sounds. All vaccines come with risks, but AZ because it is so many people having it at once & getting reactions is getting a bad rep. But it does also on the other hand have some bad side effects
I have no idea if even a doctor can advice me on what is recommended for one kidney. It isn't necessarily a common thing or a google searchable one either. But I've booked a doctor's appointment for next Monday afternoon so that's at least a start

aww sorry the day after wasn't so good but glad you had a good birthday

What? That's terrible. But hopefully mum & baby are ok, even if the birth was medically started three weeks early. Shame she's moving away & closer to the other family

Well, NL started to really vaccinate people only in January, mid-February & they have managed to get over half the population vaccinated within 6-months... So it's not an impossible goal... Australia just needs a good plan, and to figure out how to store & transport the vaccines & convince people that they actually need to get vaccinated

Talking with a doctor wouldn't hurt I think, and maybe he/she could share more information about the vaccines as well...

It is what it it... But I think we're over it for now, if she wants to talk with us, we'll be here...

ah ok, now I get what you're saying. Yeah it is possible, but I just don't trust Australia in having a plan & following through . They started here in February, but it didn't really start arriving & going around the country until more like April. Then they had issues distributing, including because of floods so not always the government. They've always had issues for supply. We're supposedly getting another batch of Pfizer next month though so hopefully that comes & helps. We've at least figured out the storing & transporting issues we were having which is good.

Nope it won't hurt. May not help, but its at least something. Maybe he(I presume) can give me a referral to talk to a kidney specialist who may have more of an idea.

Still a shame Oh well

Storing & transportation is at least a good start

It's a good idea to get in contact with a specialist as well, to figure out which option would be the best for you

2 days done 2 more to go... And today I was doing the outbound shipping manager's job as well on top of everything else... But I've survived the day, and I'm hoping that he'll be back tomorrow...

Tell me about it

Tomorrow is my last day at work until Aug 16/17... So tomorrow I'm going to explain everything I do to 2 persons, I'm trying to make sure that stuff gets moving while I'm gone...

But other than that all is good... Just busy... And on Friday, I need to figure out what I'm taking with me, if I want to have PCR as well just in case... And how much money I actually need to exchange... But I'll manage, I always do...

Covid is spreading up the coast . They've extended the lockdown area now at least for a week. Then there are fragments being found in the sewerage in a few other locations around the state .

Time always goes too fast

Hope things get done for you while you're gone Hanna
Good luck figuring out all you want to take with you too

Chelle

Just stay safe & figure out when & which vaccine to get, and it will be okay!

Work is done... For now at least I did my best to explain everything, and I guess I will see how things are in Aug 17, when I go back to work... I ended up working 15 min extra just to finish everything, and make sure that the I'm out of office notice is up & running...
