A classic "Fringe" 'what the heck' moment:

When Peter zaps himself into the future via the Wave Sink Device to New York City circa 2026 in the final seconds of S3-EP21 "The Last Sam Weiss" that originally aired April 29, 2011.

(*Note the memorial plaque commemorating the 20th anniversary of the tragic September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks, dedicated five years earlier in 2021, located near the now completed and open One World Trade Center. I wonder what they were planning for the 25th anniversary.)

Fringe Rewatch Thread #6: Re-living 5 years of the BEST TV Series

Lawyer Miranda Greene becomes afflicted with deadly cancer-like tumors after James Heath (aka Neil Wilson) passes her his deadly terminal illness in S2-EP17 'Olivia. In The Lab. With The Revolver.' that originally aired on April 8, 2010.

(Disclaimer: This clip contains subject matter that may not be suitable for all viewers. Parental discretion is advised.)

I most certainly hope that alternate Miranda Greene is doing much better.

*Many feel that 'Olivia. In The Lab. With The Revolver.' is actually S2-EP16 as well as the chronological order of other episodes due to the fact that 'Unearthed' was the last episode filmed during the "Fringe" first season schedule. Although it was filmed during the first season 'Unearthed' aired during the following season on Monday, January 11, 2010, a departure from its normal timeslot at the time on Thursdays. According to Fox's media site, 'Unearthed' was listed as the 21st episode of season one, however, most consider 'Unearthed' to be part of the second season of "Fringe" as S2-EP11, despite the fact that this universe's Charlie Francis appears in the episode after having been killed off in 'Momentum Deferred' earlier, and was included in their second season DVD release as a special feature.

I just finished another re-watch last weekend. I've lost count, but I know it's more than 10.

Fringe Rewatch Thread #6: Re-living 5 years of the BEST TV Series

Shades of "It's Alive" (1974): In a motel room in Boston, Massachusetts in S1-EP2 'The Same Old Story', that originally aired September 16, 2008, serial killer Christopher Penrose (Derek Cecil) is getting out of his bed after a romantic interlude with a local bar-fly, Loraine Daisy Alcott, "Amber", (Betty Gilpin). Just as he steps into the bathroom and opens a medical bag filled with instruments, he hears Loraine scream.

She has suddenly suffered intense pain, holding her stomach and crawling out the door. Christopher abandons his mysterious preparations - but takes the medical bag - and helps Loraine into the car.

En route to the Wallace Bromley Medical Center (Who is Wallace Bromley?), Loraine's stomach is growing and undulating. Seems like Christopher has unintentionally impregnated her, when his goal was to harvest her pituitary gland to maintain his youth. He drops her off outside of the hospital, where she dies minutes later during childbirth after having been pregnant for less than one hour, grossing out the delivery team in the process. Her newborn son dies of old age soon afterwards.

Disclaimer: This scene is extremely intense.
Good reminder that above everything else, "Fringe" was a science fiction series.

Let's really hope that alternate Loraine is doing much better.

Fringe Rewatch Thread #6: Re-living 5 years of the BEST TV Series

Walter drops acid and enters into a clever Terry Gilliam-inspired Monty Python animated fantasy, complete with giant foot, to figure out the answer to Donald's question in an effort to remember the plan to defeat the Observers that was wiped from his mind in S5-EP9 "Black Blotter", that originally aired on December 14, 2012. Walter also rides on Gene, and his three companions become weird creatures. Love the little fairy. Do not attempt this at home.

Honestly, I did not like that whole animated thing. But that's mostly because I just don't like animation in general.

Don't drink the milk. From S3-EP10 "The Firefly" that originally aired January 21, 2011.
