Everyday life in the alternate universe serves as the backdrop for the opening scene of S3-EP3 "The Plateau", that originally aired on October 7, 2010.

Milo Stanfield works the busy streets of Hoboken, New Jersey to implement his plan of causing the death of Gregston Electric consultant (Jillian Foster), by using a highly calculated series of chain reaction events he initiates, as a result of the Ivon Medical Group exposing him to experimentative human drug medications called "Nootropics", that intellectually heightened his cognitive level.

Seems like Jillian worked with the Ivon Medical Group and after learning that the medical group was going to cut off his medication, he used his extraordinary intelligence to design a scenario that leads to her death as well as that of colleagues Cole Arnett earlier, and later, Jeff Mayer.

In it we see a great view of the Empire State Building in the distance, our first glance of an 'income-impaired' "Aruba War Veteran", and proof positive that passenger jet airliners do indeed co-exist successfully with zeppelins as seen on an "America Travel" storefront sign.

More tidbits: a Manhatan Courier vending machine, a "U.S. Mail Service" postal drop box, an "obsolete" ballpoint pen, a Remember the Ambered sign, and Blue Dell pears.

Before the murders, Milo was released to his sister Madeline Stanfield as part of the final phase of the project. Unable to reverse the effect of the drugs, which by then had been in his system for far too long, he was confined in an unknown medical facility where his thoughts are being interpreted by a computer still to this very day.

Let's hope all involved are doing much better in this universe!
