Delta's Songs Spotlight Thread #1 ~ Featured Song: Possessionless
 Welcome to the 1st song spotlight thread. Here we will be discussing each of Delta's songs and music videos; what we love, what we hate, & what we wish we could change about them. We hope to start a new song discussion weekly, & will try to include questions which relate to the individual songs. This thread is a revamped version of the In Depth Song Discussion thread. Featured Song: I Don't Care  LyricsDelta's debut single, I Don't Care, was released on November 12, 2001 in Australia. It wasn't very successful, only peaking at 64 on the charts. It was written by David Frank & Steve Kipner. The song was originally recorded by American singer Angela Vía for her debut album. This song hasn't been put on any of Delta's albums, but it was included in the set list of her Visualise Tour & it's chorus was featured in the Edge of Seventeen melody which was released on the B-side of the single I Can't Break It to My Heart.   What do you think of this song? I Don’t Care is definitely not my favourite Delta song. To be honest I don’t consider this Delta’s debut single, for me that will always be Born To Try. I’m glad Delta chose a different direction by releasing BTT. Have you heard Angela Vía's version? If so which do you prefer? No Do you remember when you first heard this song? Yes, it was when I bought the Delta DVD. The video for I Don't Care is on it and that's how I heard it. Has your opinion of this song changed over time? Yes, when I first heard it I still thought it was cute but I don't anymore  Do you wish that it was released on one of the albums? Haha no. Do you like the music video? No, it suits the song but that's about it.. Would you change anything in the music video? If so what? Ehm, they could’ve picked a different guy, other than that I wouldn’t really change anything. Favourite lyrics? Don’t have any Least favourite lyrics? They're not kissin your lips, they're not touching like this Favourite part of the music video? When Delta is being blindfolded in the woods, that was sort of cute Least favourite part? Towards the end, when Delta's wearing a white dress. She reminds me too much of Britney there  Anything else you'd like to add? Nope __________________

What do you think of this song? its listenable, but not one of her best! Have you heard Angela Vía's version? If so which do you prefer? years ago probably, not one i will seek out if i barely listen to delta's version as it is  Do you remember when you first heard this song? i remember it before btt came out, but since it was quite like a lot of pop out that time (terrible ) i dismissed it and her.Has your opinion of this song changed over time? i know the words, so something in me made me listen to it enough to learn it, but its not like i now love it Do you wish that it was released on one of the albums? no way Do you like the music video? nothing life changing about it Would you change anything in the music video? . That's good, & hopefully Evie  What do you think of this song? That if Delta's songs were all like this I wouldn't listen to her music  . It's not bad, but its not a song that I would listen to willingly either.Have you heard Angela Vía's version? If so which do you prefer? Not that I'm aware of, & I don't particularly want to go see if I can find it to listen to it & see if its familiar or which I prefer Do you remember when you first heard this song? No. I know I have heard it before & seen the music video before, but I don't know where or why. Maybe I heard it on the radio too when it was released. I used to listen to the radio back then every morning so that's a possibility. Has your opinion of this song changed over time? Nope, don't think so. I don't hate it or like it, I don't think I ever have. Do you wish that it was released on one of the albums? No, not really. I don't know that it would fit on the albums she already released & it would be odd to find it released now. Do you like the music video? Its ok. I've seen worse, but I've seen far better too. They don't see through these eyes, they don't feel with this heart Lease favourite lyrics? mmm probably They're not kissin your lips, they're not touching like this, I feel the passion and the fire ignite me. I don't think I want to imagine that
. It would be really weird, especially if it wasn't rerecorded or anything it was just included. It's nice that she acknowledged it in the melody on the b-side of I Can't Break It to My Heart, but other than that I think it should stay in the past__________________

What do you think of this song? That this is the reason why I do not listen to most pop/mainstream music (especially from then). It scares me.

It was one of the songs my cousin went around the house singing, that may not have been the first time I heard it but I do remember that it was one of them. Has your opinion of this song changed over time? Well it is less scary without the music and you just get parts of it sung around you. So it is more if I actually listen to it that I want to stop listening to and run away from it. Do you wish that it was released on one of the albums? No, and I am thankful it was not as then I would have had to hear it a lot more. Anything else you'd like to add? No, I am just visiting the board and posting in random threads  . |

What do you think of this song? It's such a classic, BTT is one of my favourite Delta songs
 Do you remember when you first heard this song? Yes, it's how I discovered Delta. I was watching TV with my mom when the video for BTT came on and I loved it so much, I bought the single a few days later. Has your opinion of this song changed over time? Not really, the song still means a lot to me but no more or less than when I first heard it. Favourite performance of Born To Try? I love them all, but I think her performance of BTT at the Visualise Tour is my favourite. Favourite lyrics? All that you see is me, and all I truly believe Least favourite lyrics? Don’t have any Did you enjoy The Voice team performance of this song?* I did, I loved that they all performed it together Do you like the music video? Yes, I think it suited the song but as Delta mentioned in an interview once, it wasn’t really her.. that’s why I don’t think it’s her best video, but I still love it.
