Maybe Richard couldn´t be on set that day. I kind of don´t see any other explanation for leaving him out.

I enjoyed this group scene a lot as well. It would be nice for them to develop some sense of community. And wouldn´t that be something new on Degrassi (haven´t seen all seasons yet)?

It wouldn't shock me if it was a writers thing. Lola wasn't present, either, and she actually interacted with Maya, as well, since Maya was working at her parents' restaurant. Honestly, the show has a history of not being great at having a community feel to it. Not since the early seasons. It often feels like two different shows that only occasionally intertwine.

I've noticed that many of us on this board are excited for this class. What is it about them that is so special? I think it might be the diversity.

mod note: title was formerly "The Niners: Because they're the best friends that anyone could have!" and edited because we have many titles called "the niners." Now to add tags. I think several of the newer cast members do not have one because I was unsure about last names.

I agree with you. I think it's definitely the diversity and, as of the end of season 14, they feel like a group. You can't say that about a lot of the classes. There is so much potential in all of them and none of them feel played out quite yet. It's a great feeling.

Yeah so many of the characters are connected and already have relationships so in that way it feels like a big group.

This is way off but I want to see a senior skip day (I forget what Canadians call it). I remember we were talking about this in the Clew thread and now it is like at the top of my list. A great ensemble cast plot. I suppose until then we can see them hanging out at Lola's Cantina. Maybe getting into a few fights in the parking lot. Parties at the Hollingsworths.

This hiatus needs to be over!

Thanks for the trip down memory lane.

I miss her, too. It's frustrating that Alex didn't stick around after season 12, even though I understand her reasoning. Some characters in this class get more story lines than others, but for the most part, every character has received some kind of development and isn't the same character they were in the beginning. Tori is a character I could have seen going through some major change.

Yeah, they could have done a lot with her, but she was just the latest at the time, in a long run of underused characters that ended up leaving for one reason or another. Sigh.
