OK so there have been new updates since we last spoke. It looks like this NEW show is about invade like the skins in Wipe Out.

Here is the IMDB page for they clams that Roswell is a "TV movie". This is the summary:

Then Shiri Appleby claimed in an article that she wanted to direct the Roswell Reboot aka New Show and have Jason in it. From what I know non of the original cast said yes sign me up for this!

Plus she sounds so immature in her responses and posts to people!

I tell you right now it will not be as magical as how David Nutter directed it or how Jason Katism wrote it! This reboot aka NEW show will not be a tribute to Melinda Metz beautiful work on the Roswell High series like the original Roswell was!

I hope this crashes and burns this new show!

We did this for Star-crossed and it was awesome! We did a #RememberRoswell Campaign that I thought of. Some of you made some amazing art and fan videos for it! Let's face it, the Thing (aka the pilot at least) is happening. If it crashes, it will remain a tv movie, if it works, a season will be ordered. That's how it works. I read today, in a french article, that those last years, 65% of the brand new shows were cancelled after a season, while only 55% of shows which were reboots or based on books/movies (think 12 Monkeys, based on the movie) are cancelled.

So statistically, reboots do better than brand new shows. Sigh. So there are chances that Roswell 2018 could get at least a season. The CW isn't that difficult to please nowadays, compared to its ancestor back in the days.

Shiri has directed on the show she is on now called Unreal but it is not a definate she will infact direct. She just suggested it.

I think that when Roswell was on the WB, the ratings were around 4/5. Now, shows on the CW get, what? 2? I know there's downloading but still...

So I fear that Roswell 2018 will get a chance at a season, at least .

I feel as if every other tweet from Brendan and Majandra these days is a frustrated retaliation to the news of the Roswell reboot and lack of news of B+T Good for them, they deserve the right to be angry about it. We have all waited for AGES for B+T to get picked up

I agree I want B&T plus it is a passion project for Majandra she wrote it and I love how Brendan is 100% supporting her passion! B&T all the way!

Maybe the reunion was Majandra and Brendan telling Nick and Jason don't do the Roswell reboot work on B&T with us! One can dream!

Carina Mckenzie looks like she is just trying to make a name for herself. She has no real experience. Her comments on Twitter and instagram and really imature. No depth or maturity. I don't see her being a creative person and understanding elements of scifi or the passion the fans have for Roswell.

For what I know most of the cast is not "great sign me up for the Roswell reboot". it seems they are not interested.

Brenadn and Majandra have already started to vent on twitter about the Roswell reboot They want Baron and Toluca to happen. It is a passion project from Majandra. Majandra even said on twitter how it is a new show and not the Roswell we think it is.

The thing I'm curious about is, the CW's target audience usually skews younger..how much do younger people care about our Roswell and its characters? Maybe not at all. If they watch this reboot and enjoy it, then what can you do. That's fine. I would just prefer them to know that this iconic version exists

And Michael and Maria will not hold a candle to our M&M

Wait, THAT'S who is behind this new Roswell? Carina Mackenzie? Since when does she have that level of experience? From what I remember, she was just a TV fan back in the day who would gain followers based on passionate Gossip Girl related tweets causing shipper wars. Hmm.



The thing I noticed about OUR Roswell, the real Roswell, is that it wasn't afraid to push boundaries It reminded me of Buffy in that even though it was aimed at teens, they showed sexual and violent content to an extent that didn't make it seem aimed at kids. It also helped that the cast ensemble gave committed performances. The CW is more obsessed with fashion and glamorizing things than actually appreciating character strengths. The Vampire Diaries kinda proved that



Brendan and Majandra's chemistry was akin to lightning in a bottle. It only strikes once.

See it just shows you what a disaster this is NEW show going to be! No experience what so ever except getting people to follow you on social media! Sorry but social media followers to like you does not give you the experience for a TV studio to say here lets entrust you to write and produce great scifi and expect the TRUE fans to follow blindly.

It's funny all of us fans here on the board were just commenting on her soclal media pages the other day how she acts so immature in her repsonces to fans and the photo she posts. Just because she posts a photo wearing parts of the Crashdown uniform and posts a photo of going to the real Roswell does not make you a TRUE fan!

Now this new bit of information about her Gossip Girl days makes total sense. We all were like how did this girl get entrusted to use the title of our show call it a reboot but really make up an NEW show all together! It boggles my mind! Thanks a lot CW but TRUE Roswell fans are not that stupid and are not buying it!


Personally it's a slap in the face to all of the die hard fans! We are not blind CW! I agree the CW is more based on creative a buzz on social media about fashion, glamor, and what ship of the week is it this time then on real stories!

I love how the real TRUE Roswell dealt with deep issues. It was not just some teen drama. I love how it was scary and dark at times and found a great way to explore universal themes of who we are and were we belong. The acting on Roswell was magical! I loved the characters so much I had to see how it all ended!

I loved that about Buffy as well. It was not a cheesy show of a girl killing Vampires it was so much more then that. It was so dark a melodrama and some of the best writing and acting I had ever seen on TV! It was about living what does it mean to have a soul and how to find your place in the world.

At least Majandra was honest and said on twitter that the show was not a reboot at all and that it is a NEW show all the way. As quoted by her on twitter


Majandra kind of told the fans in someways she agreed with them for not wanting to watch it and how they wanted to watch B&T more. By her saying on twitter "you said it I didn't." and post fan reaction to the reboot aka New show was brilliant! Its her way of saying she agrees with them without getting involved.

Yes it all PR in the fact that the TRUE cast can't go on a rant about this new project. However I am glad at least Majandra said something about the reboot aka NEW show and said it is a NEW show all the way.

I hope this NEW Roswell crashes and burns faster then the skins getting blasted.

This is not good news at all! Shipper wars, oh god. I really, really hope that she won't use the names Michael and Maria, I just don't want them "tainted", if you see what I mean. I fear for the Dreamers already! So I don't want M&M to be victims, too.

I don't want Antar (after all, wasn't it a name used at first by the fans and borrowed by the writers as a nod to us?), royal hybrid clones and so on. She can use another plot and another names, too.

In that case, that would be okay.
