The 100: Added thought

I forgot to mention how devastating that moment was when Octavia tried to commit suicide. That was heartbreaking. She was as low as she's ever been and just didn't care... she wanted to FEEL and for her, the only way to feel was dying in that moment. I LOVED when Ilian didn't let her get away with it (of course) and struggled to keep her safe. Sex is better than suicide so glad it worked. I am not trying to be funny but there you go.

We don't know. That's the thing. They do not go into Jay's military past that much. We know that he was Ranger in Afghanistan and that he was there 2 or 3 times. I think 3 times, but I might be wrong.

We know that part of their job there was to extract kidnapped soldiers. It's not like they didn't break any humanity rules out there. Usually they would have a mission and they would do anything to do it. It's alluded that he'd seen a lot of death there, but we don't know details.

There was a guy in the unit - a friend of his from military and whenever this guy tried to talk to him about the things there, he would just tell him to drop it. Jay avoids talking about this which means that he hadn't dealt with it. He just ignores it. The actor that played the guy decided to leave this season, but for story sake he decided to go back there and Jay was totally against it. Like he reacted really strongly and Erin had to calm him down.

Yes, it's just so bizarre that the woman if she was interested in staying married and claims to want Jay, that she'd wait nearly a decade to act on it. That part is even weirder than Jay not checking to see if the marriage was severed and finalized, lol.
Exactly!

That's a good scene. It's clear he has a lot of baggage and painful past memories that he's still clinging to and isn't wanting to discuss or face just yet. Hopefully this means he's going to release some of his past pain moving forward. Erin seems really supportive which is good.
I hope so. I hope that they didn't do this story just for the sake of having some drama in the couple. I hope that they will use it to give some backstory to him. Add to this the fact that his father will appear in Chicago Med (where Jay's brother is) and Jay will be there we might get some story on him. The only thing we know that is the last time Jay spoke to his dad was 2 years ago, but we don't know why they don't talk to each other.

But the writers either messed up the timeline a bit or he was in the Afghanistan, then police officer, than back in Afghanistan, then back in the police (not sure how this goes). In the first season Jay mentions that 7 years ago the brother of his high school girlfriend was killed and he was the first in the scene with his partner. Now this is the 4th season so this would mean roughly 10 years ago at that point. He says that he met his wife Abby in his last tour in Kandahar. And one year later they got married. He tells Abby that it is now 8 years. This means that he was in Kandahar after he was in that scene. Either the writers messed up or he went back in Kandahar at some point after this boy was molested and killed. It's possible that he didn't react well to seeing this boy murdered (he is shown to care a lot about the parents of his ex and the family as a whole) and might have decided to go back there. But I am not sure how long lasts a tour in Kandahar. Like months, years. I don't know.

Hmm, interesting. There's a lot of unknowns and fill in the blanks right now. It's definitely possible this was deliberate and they will explore this area now, especially with his dad being back in the picture too. They could really do a lot with his time in Afghanistan. Imagine the flashbacks they could utilize.

This is what both Jesse and Sophia claim. Both of them said in Twitter during the episode that this story was confusing for them as well. Jesse even said that he feels uncomfortable because Jay is married. They both say that they hope that this marriage would basically give them the possibility to explore Jay's past and shed a light to it. So that's why I think that there is a chance to do so because afterwards Jesse and Sophia have seen some scripts more you know. And both of them I guess made it pretty clear that they want this by posting it officially in twitter.

Still we need to wait and see .

Michelle, if anyone is to die I'd rather it be Abby than Raven.

Oh I hear you. Definitely with you on this. Raven's my favorite character of the entire series and it's not even close for me. I love her. So if one has to go, sorry Abby, I like you too, but not over my Raven!

I haven't checked out but they usually have either 23 or 24 episodes per season so I guess 6-7 episodes.

Got it. Well there's definitely time for them to explore this area this season then.

The Flash Duet, the amazing Barry/Iris episode

I didn't know for sure that Berlanti wrote Duet but I would have bet money he did, because Barry/Iris were written just like Ephram/Amy. It was so obvious.

Just confirmed now:

Story by : Greg Berlanti & Andrew Kreisberg
Teleplay by : Aaron Helbing & Todd Helbing

Everything Barry/Iris felt so Ephram/Amy-like so I just knew Berlanti wrote the episode.

There are 23 episodes, and the finale is May 17th. This past episode was the 17th.

There is time . It's matter of the writers following on their storyline and doing it . They are not the best when it comes to following up on ideas and stories so I could never be sure whether they would explore something or not.

I mean they had that character that was in Kandahar with Jay in the show for almost 2 seasons and they still didn't explore his military past. The only thing they did was to mention that Jay used to drink a lot when he came back from his last tour. I hardly call this exploring his past. It's not like any fan expected for him to have had the time of his life being Ranger in Kandahar.
