Both, Sarah! Our originals and Kylo, Finn, Poe, Rey. Rogue one is spectacular and I get sad thinking about the epicness of Jyn/Cassian but overall the story of TFA hits closer to home to be because it's the OT-conitnued.

I found both TFA and Rogue One disappointing. I can appreciate what they were trying to do in Rogue One, but most of Jyn's best lines were in the trailer, not the movie. They killed it in the editing and the reshoots.

I don't think Rogue One is flawless at all, as some probably already know.
 I think it has too many character problems.The Force Awakens is so far above Rogue One for me it's like finding the top of the Death Star if you're standing on Scariff. __________________

TFA just resonates with me more because of the characters. RO is epic because it was a necessary piece of the story that we never knew about. TFA owns my soul though.
