Thanks for the news.
That project sounds good, but I kind of wish they'd stop casting British actors as American characters so much. Sometimes it works really well, like Stephen Moyer as Bill Compton in True Blood and Idris Elba as Stringer Bell in The Wire, but often it fails badly, for example Daniel Day Lewis portraying Abraham Lincoln as a posh British guy in Lincoln, Chiwetel Ejiofor totally making Solomon Northup British in 12 Years a Slave and Damian Lewis totally failing to come off as anything but British when playing American soldier Nicholas Brody in Homeland (and he did the same thing in Band of Brothers, too). And it's easy to tell from trailers that Benedict Cumberbatch hasn't a clue how to play Doctor Strange. It'd be fine if they stuck to British actors who can come off as American in manner, but they seem to be determined to cast the most unmistakably British sorts as Americans and it doesn't work. And having seen The Force Awakens, I've got my suspicions that Daisy may fall into the category of British actors who can't do American. Why can't they get Katee Sackhoff for the role? She'd make a convincing soldier. But who knows, maybe Daisy will surprise me.  __________________
