Theres this guy who works at a shop here in town and he looks a lot like Ewan with the Obi-wan beard. But yes, I read about American Pastoral and hopes it does very well for him.

Strikes me he'd be better directing a film about Scotland than abot America.

I recently watched the 1979 Tv version of Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy, with Alec Guinness in the main role as George Smiley. He was very good in it.

Ooooo Eye candy at the shop.

I want his movie to opens wide so I don't have to make a trek to see it.

The first movie I remember watching Ewan in was Velvet Goldmine.

I thought Obi-Wan was Ewan.

Only in the Prequels. The original Obi Wan was Alec Guinness.

Oh that is a good one!
I want to re-watch it. I love the music. And Brian Slade's costumes.

I have nothing to add about Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy. I have not seen either version. Glad you liked the original.

The movie version was good too. The original book was written by a writer who'd actually been a British spy, based on his experience of events that went in the British spy business. So it's a pretty authentic portrayal of Cold War espionage.
