I get it for most studios like when Warner Bros did the direct to HBO Max because in their contracts, the directors, producers and usually actors were paid a percentage of the box office. I get that being upset. But in Disney contracts, that's not usually the case because Disney makes their money no matter what.

definitely it had the darkest tone

Big Baby was what made it a horror movie to me lol. That incinerator scene will always be one of the most emotional moments in all the films IMO.
