It makes more sense for this to get a sequel than some others (Like Maleficent) and are The Lion King and Aladdin still getting sequels? Those are worse ideas as well lol.

Maybe with a decent script, a sequel could work.

I just don't like the need for sequels. They'll all be poorly received. The Lion King one is coming out this year, I believe. I want it to do well, but I highly doubt it

I personally feel like it could easily work since Eric and Ariel left to visit different countries and see different cultures, the human and merpeople are at peace, and they could have a baby like they did in the animated sequel. I just feel like there is a story there for a sequel. Yeah, heard the prequel "Mufasa" is coming out in December. I thought I heard about a Lion King sequel or prequel, but didn't know if it was still happening (Was hoping it was cancelled lol) So I still feel like a sequel to this makes more sense than a Mufasa prequel.

Did not know of a "Mufasa" prequel. Curious to see how Scar & him interact with each other in it. Thanks for that info.
