Yeah, I think in Dec. it will officially be ten years old. I saw it in the theater cause I just HAD to go and support FINALLY getting an AA Disney Princess (I love me some Tiana) It's a shame it didn't make as much as most Disney films though, this is an underrated film. I agree, I love and prefer the classics. I loved the Disney Renaissance that was from 1989-1999. Began with The Little Mermaid and ended with Tarzan. I think those were the best Disney films and those had that gorgeous Disney color. The Lion King is my favorite, followed by The Little Mermaid. No other films can't touch that decade IMO. I loved the live action remake of The Lion King but obviously the original is better.

Yeah, I also think it's a shame The Princess & the Frog didn't do so well at the box office, especially as it came before Tangled. But I guess people were really seeing the appeal more in CGI animated films and I think they were leaving 2d animation behind due to stigma that it's for kids only. Mind you, I think even if Tangled was 2d animated, it may still have done better due to it's simpler story...but Tiana doesn't get enough love, she's a very underrated Disney princess and character.

Back to The Lion King. Obviously this version will always be the superior one.
