I am not. This is the one I am most terrified of. I still cannot understand how it can be a 'live action' remake when it is going to be all CGI, there's no live humans in it! I'm sure the CGI is going to look incredible, with Jon Favreau at the helm I'm sure it will be but The Lion King is so close and dear to my heart and the idea of any remake is beyond comprehension for me.

I will give the live action a chance, but nothing will ever beat the cartoon for me.

I don't think I could ever give this one a chance. Out of all the Disney films I love with all my heart, The Lion King is the most special to me.

This opening can not be topped. And will never be redone better (aside from the broadway show) CGI animation is taking over it and I hate that. The traditional hand drawn animation is the finest art form. I do apprecitae the realistic CGI, when it's done great like in The Jungle Book (and another film that comes to mind is Life of Pi with Richard Parker the Tiger) but I don't need to see it being done with The Lion King.

I miss 2D animation. I think the last one was Princess and the Frog, another underrated film.

The opening of The Lion King is one of my favorites ever. It gives me the chills every single time I watch it. It's so amazing.

The Princess & the Frog wasn't quite the last hand drawn animated film, Winnie the Pooh came out in 2011 two years later. I think that was the last one..
