No, the tricks involve waking yourself throughout the night, I think. There are some alarm clocks that help or outside stimuli. The trick with lucid dreaming is to wake up only slightly-- enough to gain control over your mind without becoming fully conscious.

I guess that's my reason as well... if you include catching up with fandom things and watching TV shows I like, etc. I sure as hell don't do anything legitimately productive late at night.
