We're close to an "official" heat wave here
A heat wave is when the weather is above 25C for 5 days in a row. 3 out of those days have to be 30C or above. Tomorrow will be the 4th day and we've had 2 above 30C already here.

Here where I live, we have 30C almost on a daily basis, so I feel ya

I already have my air conditioning on because it is already miserable outside. When I take the kids outside for recess, I have to find shade. Otherwise, I feel like I'm being cooked. But I do live in Texas so the heat isn't bad right now. We've stayed below 90F for a majority of the days so far - just had two days that went over. 90F = 32C says Google. Our summers often reach triple digits or high 90s. I even have an extra fan at home because parents don't keep their air conditioning cool enough for me. They aren't always hot like me.

yeah today and tomorrow have been 90F here. i hate this kinda heat. i prefer 70 degree weather. i have my a/c on right now. the kids want me to take them at at school but we have no shade outside where we are. during the school day in the morning its not as bad but in the evening when im there its like an oven. i'll go out for a little bit but then i gotta take them back in, the heat doesnt bother them but it does me. i have very fair skin and doesnt take much for me to burn.

Si i dont know how you can deal with this kinda heat on a regular basis. i hate it. of course the next couple months we will have it on a regular basis as well (june/july/august is our hottest months here)

Cece, Texas weather is much like ours over here except that it's much humid and dryer here since the city is surrounded by water. So yeah, we need to stay cool and indoors nowadays.

Yeeesh, looks like summer is upon you all (and over here it's almost over). I guess time to hit the beach (if you like those)?

Ohh Cece, the weather there seems very similar to here ... during summer the temperature is unbearable And I'm like you, have an extra fan alongside the air conditioning because it's too damn hot

Jen, I used to live in Sao Paulo and there the heat wasn't so intense as it is here in Bahia (where I've been living in the past 8 years ), but I hate this hot weather so much!! Makes me lazy, and I burn easily. While it's summer for you, we have winter here, but have in mind that winter here only means that the temperature won't go higher than 90F it never gets lower than 70F

I'm glad we have a better winter than you. It gets quite cold here actually. We get below freezing temperatures some days! Nothing compared to the northern part of the states, but it is better than having hot all year round like it is there, Si. My perfect temperature is in the 60's Fahrenheit. And even on the cold days in Texas, I am not complaining because I always remember very well what our summers feel like... so try to enjoy the cold when I can.

Our only cold months here are January/February. That's why I love those months for the weather. Good news is that summer is ending soon but bad news is that typhoon season comes in July. Oh dear.

But yeah, you're right Cece. We should try to enjoy the cold while we can.

When I can, I try to travel south of the country during the winter because there it does get pretty cold, and I like to escape and enjoy it a bit

Migraine today. I hate this. This is the 2nd weekend where I haven't been going out because I'm not feeling well.

I plan to get ahead with this graduate class and get some good sleep. And catch up on some shows. Eat some good home cooking. And basically rest.
