Yes, that was an interesting alternate reality.

Totally agree with you that Tom & Harry's friendship was a highlight of the show.

I watched "Tuvix" recently and I really like the message that that episode tried to show. I also loved how it showed how no matter how much the crew liked Tuvix, they really missed Tuvok and Neelix too.

Tuvok and Neelix's personalities combined made Tuvix an interesting character as well. One who knew the jobs of two people of course, but wanted a life of his own. So tragic, but an amazing episode.

Tuvix was an interesting episode. I always liked Neelix and Tuvok's relationship even if Tuvok acted like he didn't care for Neelix all that much. I think that he did have respect for him and Neelix greatly admired him. I always laugh when Neelix calls him Mr. Vulcan.

The Killing Game was a great episode. I really enjoyed it. I always like when they go to the past and the 40s holodeck was cool.

After Tuvix, Neelix was more likely to challenge Tuvok when he was abrupt with him.

There should be a P/T appreciation thread. Chris, did you say there was one, but it's not very active? There isn't one listed in the Intro thread that has all the threads for the board so was just curious. Maybe someone could update it?

I watched Caretaker and I stand by my thoughts when I watched it years ago. It remains my favorite of all five series pilots to this day. I loved how they introduced everybody who would become the crew.

Caretaker was a terrific premiere. I recently watched the TNG premiere, and thought the actors all seemed rather stiff in their roles and with each other. That didn't really stand out so much with Caretaker. Of course the relationships developed with time, but they seemed somewhat comfortable in their roles.

Voyager brought together a crew from so many different places and managed to get them to gel together fairly quickly. There were some rough spots at first, of course, but they did get through them to learn from each other.

As I remember, overall the first season was rather dark and part of that was getting the crew to work together.

Yes, probably because of the completely different ways the Marquis and Starfleet had with most of their policies.

It caused problems between Captain Janeway and B'Elanna and Chakotay at first.

P/T is Tom and B'Elanna, I think. Paris/Torres.

Yeah "Caretaker" is a great premiere episode for sure. I love how they really became a family. I mean they had to learn to work together they were going to be on the ship for a really long time lol.

Yeah P/T is Paris/Torres which is Tom/B'Elanna. Sorry I should have been more clear.

Ah, okay No worries. I can be somewhat slow on the uptake, y'know

I loved the episode where Janeway made B'Elanna Chief Engineer, and B'Elanna had such a hard time believing it was a genuine offer.

B'Elanna and Janeway's relationship was always very interesting to me. Mostly because of B'Elanna's trust issues it caused some tension between the two of them, but I'm glad she eventually realized that Janeway was being genuine.
