I didn't mind Kes, but I can't say that I really missed her when she left either. I really didn't like Neelix with Kes.

I wasn't very fond of Kes either... though I didn't mind her that much when I watched the original version for the first time. Apparently part of her annoying me lay in the dubbing voice

I'll never buy that B'Elanna WAS the best candidate. Too immature by far.

Kes was ok. There was an episode in which Kes was taken over by a evil warlord and Jennifer Lien did a very good job with it.

Neelix was a bit much.

Dubbing can be tricky

Chris: Neelix did get awfully...possessive...of Kes, didn't he?

I agree, but I felt that she led him to believe that they were an item when they weren't... not in an evil way but still I felt sorry for our Talaxian.

I can't say I felt bad for Neelix when he got like that, or that I particularly saw Kes leading him on (could easily have missed that ). I did like the growth of Neelix's character, though, as time went on. I especially like the dynamic that developed between him and Tuvok. Tuvok's "jig" when Neelix left was, in typical Vulcan understatement, a beautiful gesture of filial bonds that had been forged

I vaguely remember that. Also Fury showed us a very different Kes than the character we were used to.

Kia - Can't say that I remember Kes leading Neelix on, but he certainly took their relationship much more seriously than she did.

Yes, and I found it very off putting.

I didn't have any problems with Kes. Of course, when I say that, I am still mentally blocking the whole "Fury" episode, which didn't happen, no matter what the rest of you may remember.

I thought Kes was adorable and I loved how she grew as a person while on Voyager. I did miss her when she was gone.

My fave was Janeway!! I absolutely loved her!!

Tari - she was a good captain. Not sure that I have a particular favourite character on Voyager though.

Really? I get the feeling that he was a very creative cook, and you'd either love or hate what he served.

You didn't like Fury Rob? Just not the way you wanted to remember Kes?
