Thinking back on it, while I wouldn't have complained about having more S/U scenes, maybe it is better that those we did get tended to add something to the storyline.

I don’t know. They have such a special bond. It would be nice to see Uhura do more stuff, but I feel that JJ [Abrams] and his team of writers did such a great job in the sequel and I am pretty sure for the third installment we will see [Uhura] be more hands on as well. It would be heartbreaking for me to know that they would break up.

I don't even know why someone would ask that question, to be honest.

I never saw anything like that before

not even for couples that were really bad for the female character. I wonder what Spock did to that person that asked the question... he's a good guy

I'm confused by 'so Uhura could be part of the team again' too

I'm really surprised by how many people are still so negative about this relationship. I don't get it. It isn't even like in other fandoms where you have rival couples and the shipper wars.

That makes no sense at all. Personally, I feel Uhura's role has been slightly increased in the movies, especially the last one. Her scene talking face to face with the Klingons was terrific, and I don't remember Nichelle Nichols getting a chance to do anything like that.

I don't understand what they are talking about. That seems a bit sexist too, to be honest.

Honestly, I think it's not professional for someone to let their negative bias show that much when they make questions to the actors.
