That scene as tense as it was, it was one of my favorites for them in that season because I feel like BOTH of them were finally expressing how they were feeling about their break up and the whole situation. I think we needed something after that though that was a follow up because Zoe fixed the whole date with Vivian situation, it was like nothing had ever happened between Zoe and Wade, when that wasn't the case.

Yeah, I feel like we saw some of their raw emotions come out there - especially that part where Wade implies that Zoe doesn't want to see him with anyone else because she's jealous & then it was just dropped. We did still get hints that Zoe was uncomfortable with Wade & Vivian, & I'm not surprised that she didn't want to ask herself why because denial is her forte, but someone should have picked up on it & questioned her about it; Wade, Joel, Lavon, AB...

Yeah, exactly. And when Wade said that "The last he checked, she walked away", it really showed how much he was still holding onto that even though he was trying to move on and start to date. Wade knew Zoe so well, I think he already knew the answer to that when he was trying to imply that Zoe was jealous about Wade going on a date. He just wanted her to see it so badly because she had been so blind to everything since coming back into town.

Yeah, & I totally get why he might not bring that up again, because you can start to sound pretty crazy when you're trying to tell your ex that they still have feelings for you even though they're with someone new - but I still wish someone would have done it before Lemon in 3x22

Yeah, exactly. When Lemon woke her up out of her denial in 3x22, Zoe was very close to admitting it anyway because she was upset that Wade was leaving and everything and she was starting to think about it. But I think it needed to happen earlier. It actually probably could have happened when Zoe was going crazy with the date because AB was really picking up on a lot of indications that she was still in love with Wade, but didnt say anything straightforward to her.

Yeah, Lemon saying it at that point felt more like the writers trying to explain what they had been doing all season - Zoe was pretty close to admitting it by then anyway

Yeah, I agree. We should have understood what they were doing with them all along instead of having Lemon say it when everything was all said and done.... But I still did like that scene.

Wade was being so soft with Zoe there, it definitely meant a lot to her

Even though it could have been done different and we should've had proof for Zoe's actions while it was happening, it was still great being able to hear it at least. I feel like they did the same thing with Wade/Zoe's scene in 4x01 when they were explaining Wade's actions.


yeah, and I agree. Wade was so great there. I feel like every episode they were together as a couple, you could see their feelings were getting stronger in each one.

Yeah, exactly. And by the end right before the break up, I feel like it was pretty obvious that they both loved each other even though those three words were not said yet.

I mean, we have the title atm with the same thing, so I think we are good. It fits, and plus, it is such an amazing episode for them. I loved the angst between them because they knew that they wanted to be together.
