I think that hug might have been my favourite BBT momen ever. Or at least, it's very close. I even had a conversation about it with one of my teachers yesterday.

SHeldon and Penny just have too much potential... it just shouldn't be wasted!

The hug scene! Them exchanging gifts, it's all so perfect I love how thoughtful her gift was, and his reaction

OMG, I was JUST thinking of starting a Penny/Sheldon thread here. Holy crap, I loved their chemistry before, but that hug was just EFFING EPIC!

Um.. was I the only one that actually thought Sheldon was going to full on kiss her in the spur of the moment kind of thing? The crazy look he had on his face made me actually consider the possibility. I mean, I'm happy with the hug and all, but I must say that a quick kiss would have been just as epic.

Can I be added to the list please?

The hug was really cute, and I love how it seems to have lasted longer than the camera showed. Penny is so happy for the hug

I had seem a preview before, so, no, I hadn't thought this.

I know that on 2.03, when they argue if Penny needs to have sex and Sheldon says "enough debate, I'm going to take action" I thought for one second he was going after her the scene went great in the original way, though.

Their scenes really make the whole show.
My whole family agrees. Although my uncles like Leonard/Penny are gonna end up together, ...which they probably will, but he also thinks Ted/Robin are endgame, so what does he know?

They have a great dynamic even if they never become romantic. Without it, BBT would be another standard sitcom cliche. Lame.

They play off each other really well.
And the unconventional aspect of their relationship just makes them that much better.
