I agree. It's hard to not want to think about how could they have messed up so badly even though there is no point to try and make sense of it.

Yeah I have no idea what went through their heads. Daryl/Beth were so great together. The dynamic was so good for both of them but especially Daryl.

Yes! And that's another thing if Daryl really is their cash cow and they love him (or maybe it's just the money he brings in) as much as they seem to why not keep around the best thing for him?

Because they like Daryl alone it seems. And I think they also just like the money he brings in.

I'm not even sure how true that first part is. From what I've seen they've had him around some other women but I know for a fact that none of them have done or can do what Beth did. Or maybe it's easy to have him around others when it's not going anywhere. That second part is definitely true though.

I think it's the second part. He doesn't have to be alone on screen just not with romantically anybody.

I genuinely think that could be part of why they killed Beth off. They're not great writers in the first place so with the way they wrote it and with Norman and Emily's chemistry they painted themselves into a corner where the only way it could realistically go is romantic. But like you mentioned they just keep ****ing up Daryl for whatever reason so they did the lazy thing and took Beth out of the picture completely.

I agree. There was too much there for them to just make friendship so yeah they took the easiest and most laziest way for to get Daryl back where they want him.
