 I got The SOM for Christmas and I thought I would see if there was a thread for these two and there is; it's just not very active!  Anyway, love these two!  I wish we got more interaction of them being "in love", but I guess they always were, they just didn't know it!  |

Watching this movie tonight and just thought I'd pop in again to bring it to the top for a bit

The DVD has lots of special features on it. If you get the 40th Anniversary Edition (which is the most recent one besides the one that just came out on Blu-Ray last year) it has a special with all 7 children where they talk about the film and then it has a special with Julie Andrews and Christopher Plummer where they reminisce. It also has a commentary with the cast and a director's commentary and many other features.
Maria and Georg are one of my favorite movie couples! I adore as I adore the film. |

Too bad there's no deleted scenes. I've seen pics of the cast in a Christmas setting and always wondered if they filmed something about it.

Have y'all heard about the live version of Sound of Music they're doing on NBC this Christmas? Carrie Underwood will be playing Maria, but don't know who will be the Captain. |

I adore them. When Maria tells the Reverend Mother that sometimes she could hardly breathe when she looked at Captain Von Trapp, I had to agree. I think Christopher brought real humour to the role. I love the scene where he's joking with the kids about all the delicious berries they've eaten. |
