I think they will keep quiet until he's actually revived on the show. Until then I'll bore myself to death watching the episodes.
But as soon as he's out of the coffin, we'll probably get lots of DG tweets. something like

Betty, I usually start writing the dialogue first, because then the conversation flows freely and your writing catches up with what you're imagining in your head quickly. Then I insert the pauses, transitions and what the characters think at the moment which usually takes much longer to write down.

Wow, you've really hammered out a process there. It would never occur to me to do it like that; perhaps that's why I don't get very far

there are several ways how writers prefer to write. as long as they take their time to develop the story, everything is fine.

god, I wish we had new EE material. If I see Elena opening up the coffin to resurrect him, I'll scream my head off and die a happy fangirl death.
