Juliette Barnes is the country star with seemingly everything in the world. But as we get to know her, we see a broken girl looking for someone to trust and love her fully. In some ways, she sabotages herself when it comes to happiness and love, but Avery has slowly wormed his way into her heart, gaining her trust and becoming her friend.

Avery Barkley is a singer and songwriter trying to make it in Nashville. In the first season we see him fight for fame, only to realize it wasn't worth it to sell himself in exchange. He has been there for Juliette, playing on her tour and being her friend.

I think there are fans of every pairing but I haven't seen that many s/a fans around. Then again the Nashville fanbase isn't that vocal online we don't even have a board here

idk why anyone who loves Scarlett would want S/A... although most Scarlett fans still hate Avery despite the fact that he has really redeemed himself so I assume Scarlett fans don't want J/A because they don't want to see Avery happy with anyone or something

"Juliette doesn't love him for him"... then what on earth does she love him for, lol? She certainly isn't using his money or his fame, since he doesn't really have any. If she is attracted to his talent, if she has become attached to him because he's been there for her and at the same time hasn't used her for sex or fame, that IS who he is. She seems to bring out the best in him, as he does in her.

^exactly! They haven't had sex, he isn't her boyfriend. She loves him because he treats her with value and has stuck with her through it all.

Well I did hear a comment once that Juliette just loves the way Avery makes her feel... but she doesn't actually love him.

To which I argue that I think that argument applies more to her/Charlie. She didn't love Charlie, she loved the way Charlie saw her and accepted her into his high-class society. She even said it once to Charlie.. "I love the way you see me".

To be honest I am always opened minded to other points of view but I have a hard time understanding the whole of not wanting Avery-Juliette together because they are the only good thing on the show. Like making them official would ruin them cause it's a soap. To me, the whole them being friends first was not only to give Juliette a true friend but to actually show to her what's it like to love and be loved someone who sees you for you and still love you faults and all. They aren't afraid to tell each other what they think and bring out the best out of each other. It would be a waste to not explore them as a couple just in case the writers mess up. I trust that the writers aren't just building up as friend first to have them hook up and not speak to each other again 3 episodes later. To me they are endgame. Well unless the show gets a last min cancelation and it's out their control.

I agree. I don't think Juliette had a clue they were back together. She knew they were in each other's lives and that he wanted Scarlett back but from her POV Scarlett wasn't into him. I think the last thing she expected was Scarlett to be there and I think maybe she thought he was throwing signals too because they purposefully gave a close up of her noticing him putting his hand on her arm in the dressing room scene. Gunnar only found out in 2.09 and he and Avery were working together so I am not surprise Juliette wouldn't know.

I want interviews so bad. I want it all, interviews, promos, pics etc. I can't help it they are addictive to me

yeah I don't think she knew they were actually together. I can't imagine Avery told her that they were official again (although to be fair, I don't even think Avery/Scarlett are official, didn't Scarlett say she didn't want to be official with him?)

ugh its killing me. I need this show to get picked up for S3 so badly, I hate being in fear that we aren't going to get more

I don't think he would even want to talk about it with her having her own problems to deal with, him saying ''hey by the way I am back with the ex you thought wasn't into me'' would feel odd. I think Avery started acting suspicious regarding having feelings for Juliette when they focused on him having that missed call from Juliette in 2.09 and having that guilt look on his face. And as far as I knew Charlie and Juliette had ended in 2.08 when she went to confront him so I think both Juliette and Avery started to become aware of it being more then friendship when she remember how they met in 2.08. JMO.

I am so impatient to see that promo that I am actually leaving my tv on abc on random stuff in case the promo shows up. I hope they go at Paley again this year in march.
