Welcome, yuzz66!
I rewatched Before Sunrise this weekend! Seriously one of the most wonderful and honest romantic movies out there. Made a small picspam. |

Isn't that movie stunning? You should watch the second one too, it's equally as gorgeous

Celine: Yeah, but I had worked for this older man, and once he told me that he had spent all of his life thinking about his career and his work, and…he was fifty-two and it suddenly struck him that he had never really given anything of himself. His life was for no one, and nothing. He was almost crying saying that. You know, I believe if there’s any kind of God, it wouldn’t be in any of us. Not you, or me…but just this little space in between. If there’s any kind of magic in this world, it must be in the attempt of understanding someone, sharing something. I know, it‘s almost impossible to succeed, but…who cares, really? The answer must be in the attempt. |

Ethan Hawke and Julie Delpy to Begin Writing Third Before Sunrise Film By Willa Paskin In 1995's Before Sunrise a very young Ethan Hawke and Julie Delpy spent a long, meandering, romantic night together in Vienna. In the 2004 follow-up, Before Sunset, an older, more jaded Hawke and Delpy spent a long, meandering day together in Paris, still crazy and tortured about each other after all these years. Now it looks like the third film might be on the way. (Berlin for a 24-hour rendezvous?) Speaking to the French publication AlloCine, Hawke said that he thought it was just about time he, Delpy, and their director, Richard Linklater — the threesome who co-wrote the previous films — got started on a third. "I don't know what we're going to do but I know the three of us have been talking a lot in the last six months," Hawke said. "All three of us have been having similar feelings that we're ready to revisit those characters. There's nine years between the first two movies and, if we made the film next summer, it would be nine years again so we've really started thinking that would be a good thing to do. We're going to try write it this year." If you're at all like us, you imagined/hoped that after the last movie — which ended with Celine adorably singing Nina Simone to Jesse, and Jesse missing his flight — these two neurotic kids ended up together, even though, more realistically, they probably would have stayed in bed for three days, freaked out, and then decided not to exchange telephone numbers or e-mails again because it worked out so dramatically last time. May their third time be the charm. And title suggestions welcome in the comments: Before Midnight? Before Noon? Before 7 p.m.? OH MY GOD! Thank God there's a thread for these two!
I posted in some of the other Before Sunrise/Sunset related threads, but THANK GOD there's a Couples thread for them! WOW! SO MUCH FANART! Basically my Screenwriting professor told me to watch Before Sunrise last semester because the 'chit chat' aspect was something I had written into one of my own scripts (not for her class, but for my graduate school applications). So I watched the first one and as soon as I found out there was a second film, I knew I had to buy it! Both movies convey such deep emotional honesty and a sense of realism that seems to be forgotten in most films today and even in most real life relationships. I also wrote one of my graduate school admissions essays on Before Sunrise because it inspired me so much! Keep on posting all of the amazing fanart, please! __________________
