I agree. Jack represents to her something she wanted to know since she was a child. It's in her blood.

I think everything that went down between her and Jack (in this one), has thrown in more feelings that Elizabeth wasn't expecting.

Agreed. I expected that we'd get some more superficial flirting in this movie similar to what we saw in CotBP, but much to my surprise this film actually presented the possibility that they have much more significant feelings for each other.
