I haven't seen much of their interviews but in that one interview I saw, he was talking more about his characters but in regards to Francis/Mary, what he had to say was more about how, despite their positions, they were just still kids underneath.

By the way, anyone else feel like they need to develop more of the other handmaidens? Anne Popplewell needs to have more scenes.

Just curious are we for sure the guy in those gifs is Francis. Of course, I haven't really looked at Francis or Bash's hands. But I suppose in terms of the ring, I guess it would lean more towards Francis.
