I'm glad I'm not alone in shipping these two straight from the pilot/get-go. I've read the script before the show aired tho, so I kind of ship them before the first episode, technically speaking, haha.

Aww FARY. That sounds so cute! There's something so inherently sweet about these two, I keep just going "d'aww" at every scene.

That duty is important to the story as well. After all, Mary and Francis both want what's best for their countries, even if it means personal sadness. "Mary's duty to her country makes her want that marriage. Her desire and her duty line up with her feelings, and [Francis'] do not. That's the biggest obstacle," she said.

I love that flashback. I'm a sucker for couples who've got history, especially since they were kids. And these two's got plenty of it. :')

They have the main ingredients of what I need: angst, sweetness, chemistry and weirdly the contrast in looks.

I love love the scene at the end where he almost kisses her

Yeah, the ball scene was my favorite. I also liked that scene where she found him building the swords...but the scene that followed left a bad taste in my mouth.

I love the contrast in looks as well! And that almost-kiss, Toby and Adelaide were killing it!

I love how Adelaide/Mary's face lights up everytime Francis accidentally slips he has feelings for her, too. :'D

Mayberry, in the script... there was one scene that I thought was very significant character-wise and I hate how they cut/edit it out. When Francis was approached by his so-called french mistress, he actually rejected her. She was taking off her clothes in front of him, and she was offering herself to him, but he stopped her before she could go on further. It was then revealed that nothing ever really happened to them even before, not sexually, I mean. There was flirting, but nothing more than that. And after Mary came to his room and he spurned her, the script wrote that the whole of his room should be seen to emphasize that no one was there.

Ohmigosh, I wish they would've kept those scenes. Because I thought it was weird how the camera didn't pan anywhere and that Mary didn't see the other girl. That makes me happy. Thanks!
