Ugh, I'm trying to keep my expectations low. Who would have said two months ago I wouldn't want an entire episode to be taken over by DE?

Low expectations are good. And it's not like we don't all know they'll do DE at some point

Honestly, I think an intense and close friendship between EE would be enough for me for now. Let them do the SE/DE triangle thing, break up SE, hook up DE; EE will still be strong and amazing at the end of it all.

Sometimes I wonder if SE and DE could survive, as friendships or more, intact for centuries. But I do honestly believe that EE could survive, in any form, for as long as Elijah's been alive They just have this natural connection; I don't wonder why each interests the other, like I do with other couples on this show. They have such a solid foundation.

There's just so much depth and complexity in a single EE scene in comparison to DE or worse, SE scenes. That's why one EE scene > DE scenes. EE scenes are simply more fascinating to watch.
