Now I in no-way consider myself a Defan fan. I have always believed and still do, that Stefan deserves a lot better from Damon.. but this scene... dude.. THIS SCENE. This scene makes me forever bitter that the writers could never seem to grasp that these two brothers like this is what would have made this show so much better. I am all for angst and hard times, but if the ends are like this.. then it is all worth it. It's too late for me to ever really support Defan anymore, but had they given this brother-hood the credit and service it deserved.. it would have been epic Paul and Ian are fabulous together.. they really sell it. Ian as the older brother finally coming home to his baby bro, and Paul as the lost little brother who just needed his big brother It was a beautiful moment... it actually made me cry
