tracey1302 10-26-2015 01:14 AM

Been on a couple of my favourite blogs this morning and I'm actually dying. The scene where he puts his head on her shoulder is actually killing me. It's like the only place he feels safe is with her. That's not to mention that I also got something of a 'Thank God she's here at last, I can finally breathe' kind of vibe from this scene as well.

The scene that I hated in the promo was actually kind of great by the end. When he's out the blood on her face, there was that moment where 4x12 flickered in his eyes. He's in there somewhere... Thank God!!

I'm not sure where they're headed to be honest. Obviously with Quinn just been shot, he won't be up and about for a while. But what I do know is that the scenes they had tonight were absolutely electric. I've read several reviews online from the press that also picked up on the electric chemistry between them. (Which I'm always thankful for - I often worry that my little shipper heart just sees what it wants to see!)

I think it's pretty clear from this episode that deep down, in the heart he has kept hidden for so long, Carrie is definitely still there. What is less clear, as always, is how she feels about him. She was trying to reignite that connection with the 'I tried to find you, I never stopped thinking about you.' But with Quinn's reaction, I think she kind of knows that it's going to take a lot to get them back to the way they were.

But I still go back to what has always been the thing with Carrie and Quinn versus Carrie and Jonas. Quinn knows her s**t, and loves her completely. Jonas.... Doesn't know her. Not in the way that Quinn does. But for Quinn and Carrie to be together, he needs to find that humanity again.. But we're already seeing that in him when he's with Carrie.

God knows what we're gonna get this season.... I think we will be waiting for a few episodes yet though for anything further. As always with these two... Life just gets in the way. But after tonight's episode, their chemistry is just off the charts, so the next time we get a beautifully intimate C/Q scene, I'll just be like.... :sigh:

They've been through so much **** this episode but I couldn't stop smiling. They are finally together again. They're the heart and soul of Homeland. I just love them together. There is understanding and mutual respect, they have each other's back and they trust one another. He can truly get through to her and she's the only one who can bring him back from this darkness.

Those little moments you mentioned. :sigh:

Old Quinn we know is there somewhere, he still can't say no to her.

They highlighted the differences between Quinn and Jonas in 5x04 already. Carrie basically called Jonas boring and weak, plus he's a lousy lay according to her. That was painfully honest. He was overwhelmed and confused, he run away. On the other hand, there is Quinn who is ready to face and endure danger and pain, and his first reaction is to protect Carrie. Jonas never made her truly happy, she just jumped into this relationship and she treated him like someone who can help her maintain socially acceptable lifestyle that isn't her at all.

Damn, episode 4 was so great.
It's nice to see Carrie and Quinn together! again.
The final action in which the killer wanted to kill Quinn, I watched probably 5 times!
Carrie looked solidly and focused there. She took care of everything. A nice change. I don't want to see her again in this mad state.

And my gem : Quinn Whump + Carrie takes care of him= **** I've been waiting for this for 3 seasons! And it's finally happening, and we'll get more of thison soon.
I am happier than ever.

It's rare when they show us that someone is really suffering from wounds. and there are even complications! I was expecting that Carrie take him to the shelter. and then we will see Quinn bandaged or even healthy .. And in 5x04 we saw the whole process, a lot of emotion and pain, and so on.
This is surprised to me, very nice surprised

and...fine.
waiting for the moment when something will happen between Carrie and Quinn... Quinn is my favorite since he come in 2x04
Hope they finally can be together!

Okay, erm, episode five? I may need a minute.

Things I loved...

-Quinn being willing to die for Carrie's safety. Not the first time but this really seemed like the end of the line for him (even though it's not obviously!)
-Quinn's interactions with Jonas, further underlining that yeah, he just doesn't get it.

Things I wasn't crazy about..

-Carrie was a little too complacent when Jonas called her and said Quinn was going to die. Just Carrie, I suppose.

I don't know, I know they've got a whole show of plot lines to pan out BUT I just wish they would start showing a bit more from Carrie's side in terms of the C/Q dynamic. So far, quite a lot of what they've showed has been very one sided. Especially in terms of those deeper feelings.

However, the fact that Quinn was openly ready to die for Carrie has elevated their relationship even further in terms of the dynamic of the show. Theirs is the key relationship hands down. I feel like we're gonna have to wait a while, however, till Carrie figures out just how much Quinn unconditionally loves her (maybe he will tell her, who knows, probably not, knowing Quinn!) and perhaps what that love means to her and if, here's hoping there is a God, that she returns it one day just as fiercely.

I don't doubt that she loves him. Two years ago, after all they had been through together in Islamabad, she realised how much he meant to her and was, let's face it, very much ready to start a life with him after finally discovering from her Mum that she wasn't as emotionally damaged as she first thought.

But I just think now, two years down the line, with her daughter in tow, and seeing what has happened to Quinn over these last few years, things are more complicated than they have ever been.

Really heartbreaking episode tonight. Sob.

The whole ep was great, I thought that Carrie help Quinn and he will get better.
and here he is still suffering and in ep 6 this this isn't over. I'm very happy about this. Hurt / Comfort scene between Carrie and Quinn are so so good.
And my gem: Quinn whump. a nice change because he is always such a tough guy, a badass. Nice to see that he is defenseless, and someone take care of him, and Carrie is the one responsible, sober thinking. It's a nice change.

I sat on the edge of a chair to the last sec!
It was cool to see the Jonas / Carrie / Quinn scene.
But I hope that Jonas quickly disappears and Carrie will work with Quinn again.; d

I wonder who are these people who took Quinn? promo ep6 shows that they know he's an American spy. They could kill him, or worse.
But on the photo from 7 ep. he looks pretty healthy. So I think ... what would happen?
These people looks to me like sect or terrorists...:DBut I think they help Quinn.

Also, on the promo you can see that this man gave Quinn his blood? Or I misunderstood ... Maybe they are from foreign intelligence that also acts against Russian?
*
I also hope that Carrie finally show us some emotion. especially now as Quinn is injured and he disappeared.
* She can tell Jonas, that she couldn't leave Quinn and she will be looking for him? When he is injured, it is the perfect time to show that she is worried about him. They could get close. I'm not talking about bed scenes right away...

I agree that when Jonas call to her, she should immediately return to Quinncave. She didn't even look shocked that Quinn who saved her once again, bleed to death.
I hope they don't come up with something stupid for Quinn, like something similar to Brody;/

When she tuching his hair, it was sweet. He still cares about her. He preferred to run away and die, and Carrie was safe.

Btw, what he wanted to do with this dumpster? Crush his head?

curious how Carrie would react when she finds out that dying Quinn disappeared. and what she will do? Quinn is somewhere out there, dying and alone. I hope she shows us little emotion, and will look for him. and fast. she own him.

Okay. I was hoping that Carrie finds him and take care of him, but my hope just died.

It seems to me that when Quinn and Carrie meet again, he already will be healthy. Is it bad I wants to see how he suffers and Carrie care for him? It makes me sick person? ;d

I can't waif for nex ep!

Crooks 11-02-2015 06:13 AM

I think this episode showed the difference between Carrie/Quinn & Carrie/ Brody.

Carrie was obsessed with Brody. She was drawn to him for different reasons, and it became a ride on an emotional rollercoaster.

With Quinn, she is more subtle in the way she shows her feelings . For example the way she stroked his hair. It's a tender and loving gesture - and I don't think she even realised what she did.
Maybe they'll never be more than what they are to each other now, but no one can deny the very strong bond they have. Not even Carrie...

I love them so much. Look forward to the next episode

drarry 11-03-2015 10:30 AM

I understand what you mean and I think you're right :)

*BVut, it would be nice just to see how Carrie shows more emotions...Even if nothing stronger happens between them
* When Carrie touched his hair and neck.. it was nice to look at them.
*injured Quinn who needs care- it was the perfect excuse for this kind of gesture.
I hope in 5x06 Carrie will look for Quinn. it would be illogical if she left him right?

I wonder why these people help him? I hope they doesn't turn Quinn in some kind of double agent:confused:
Although Quinn is too loyal and clever and he is such a badass, but the writers are not, so I'm afraid:(

I also love them :)The last two episodes are my favorite
This week waiting is killing me:broken_heart:

I think to turn Quinn as a double agent would be deeply unpopular and would probably turn people against Homeland so I'm not sure they would do that.

Firstly, Quinn is immensely popular being the bad ass, bad guy killing machine that he is. If he turned into a good guy killer... I'm not sure that popularity would hold.

Secondly, the double agent storyline has been done with Brody. It's remembered and it would be classed as a recycled plot line.

Thirdly, if they did turn Quinn double agent or be brainwashed or something, people wouldn't believe it. It's so out of character.

That being said, if they do go this way, Quinn would stay loyal, I'm sure. So he would kick some more ass after that!!

drarry 11-04-2015 04:53 AM

I know. This story doesn't fit for Quinn. Of all the people in the Homeland.. not for him.

I will stop watching Homeland if they come up with something so stupid form him:D

*And,yes I don't believe that they would be able to turn Quinn against Saul and Carrie ..Yes, this story was for Brody I know, but I can't think of anything else why these people would help Quinn and not kill him. Or use somehow?
Carrie and Quinn didn't meet for 2-3 episodes. I wonder in what circumstances they meet again ...

pervy minion 11-19-2015 11:38 AM

I hope they meet again. :(

Great fanvids!

tracey1302 11-27-2015 02:34 PM

Just watching some Season Two. It's making me feel better. There is chemistry and implicit trust between C/Q from the word go and it's magnetic. It's goddamn beautiful better that. And essentially, nothing has changed. Save they care more about each other (Quinn loves her and we shouldn't doubt that she cares very deeply for him) and the stakes are higher than they've ever been.

Watching Season Two and thinking about Season Three and Four and what has been highlighted about C/Q in Season Five, I trust the writers. The relationship between Carrie and Quinn has been building since Season Two... They crossed the line into romance, and though we haven't seen anything explicit between them, they haven't really backtracked.... We've had Jonas highlighting that Quinn was ready to die for her, we've had her crying to Otto that she didn't do right by him.

It is tough not having them together every episode like we're used to but they are keeping them apart for effect. Everyone wants to see them all back together and on the same side again. And when Quinn and Carrie are together... Sparks just fly. And the writers know that. :D

pervy minion 11-28-2015 12:19 AM

I love that their relationship was never forced on us. It was in the background, subtle yet very meaningful, with feelings hidden below the surface.

I think they'll reunite for the season finale, maybe even sooner.

AMAZING.

tracey1302 12-03-2015 06:39 AM

How is everyone feeling after 4x09?

I felt a bit sick for a few days. I have to try and not focus on the fact that
Spoiler:

Pretty sure he's not dead and I'm hoping that the last few episodes focuses on the Q/C dynamic as she tries to find him/save him and consequently realises how much he means to her. We have to take solace in the fact that their relationship will be absolutely central to how the last few episodes of the season play out! That's the only thing that would make this pretty yawny season of Homeland worth it!!

pervy minion 12-04-2015 10:39 AM

I'm a little disappointed that she didn't try to find him. I know she had other things on her mind, but why isn't she showing any emotions, why isn't she caring enough? She was ready to leave CIA with him last season. I feel like the writers betrayed us. They went there in season 4, but they're clearly not sold on their choice. I miss those moments where Carrie and Quinn were in the same vicinity.
